ASK

ASK Matthew 7:7-12  Devotional:- “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” (V.11) NKJV For us to be able to enjoy the love of God as believers, we must begin to ask God for our needs. It is the principle of God that you will only have what you ask (Matthew 7:7). If you don’t speak out to ask, you may not be given. This was the problem of the senior brother of the prodigal son (Luke 15:29-32). Everything is for Him, but he had never asked for any. But the younger brother knew how to ask You must also learn how to ask. This is because you will only enjoy what you asked for. We therefore need to learn how to ask. The word ‘ask’ is not the same as beg or loan. The word asks suggests confidence and courage. It means to demand for what you are due for. It means to ask for your rights and your entitlements in God (Galatians 3:13-14). The bible is a book of covenant ...

HOPE DEFERRED

HOPE DEFERRED

Job 14:6-9
Devotional:- “For there is hope for a tree, if it’s cut down, it sprouts again and grows tender new branch” (V. 7) TLB

The challenge of life could weigh a man down beyond his faith and bring him to the level of hopelessness. Many people today have no hope of good things happening to them anymore. They have been waiting on God for quite sometimes and their hope is getting wearied.

To be hopeless is to conclude there is no better tomorrow. This happens to us sometimes when we put our expectations on men or when we over-expect from people. It could also be that we do not know that hope in God is made strong by the wisdom of patience in divine instructions (Hebrews 6:12). If this situation is not arrested quickly, it could lead to loss of vision, purpose, and faith in God. This is the goal of the enemy, but he has failed.

Listen to the powerful statement from Job: even if a tree is cut down there is hope for it. At the smell of water, it shall bud again, no matter what has been delayed in your life, if there is hope for a tree, there is hope for you. Don’t let your heart be wearied (Proverb 13:12). Please know that this is a strategy of the devil to remove you totally from faith in God. Therefore, renew your trust in God’s word by stretching your root to His word. Your hope shall come again.

Remember the faithfulness of God is from generation to generation. If He did not fail Abraham, Jacob, and Joseph, He will not fail you. You will rise again; all your lost time and materials shall be recovered. You may think you are losing time, but He is keeping time. You shall celebrate your progress and prosperity in Jesus name. It’s not over.

PRAYER: LORD, HELP ME TO FIND NEW HOPE IN YOU.

“YOU ARE NOT LOSING TIME; GOD IS ONLY KEEPING TIME”
