DON'T BLAME GOD

DON’T BLAME GOD James 1:12-20 Devotional:- “And remember, when you are being tempted, do not say, "God is tempting me." God is never tempted to do wrong, and he never tempts anyone else” (V. 13) NLT Today, there is so much confusion the enemy places in the heart of men to make them feel that God hate them. So, when people are under the pressure of the flesh to sin, they say “God is tempting me”. When people are weak, they are going to face temptation through their flesh. It wil be wrong to say God is tempting you with sickness or troubles. Yes, God knows about it but He only allows it when we have been warned repeatedly and we refuse to change. He disciplines, but it is necessary for us to know that God is not the author of evil, that is the work of the devil (Hebrews 12:6; Matthew 4:24).  There is a difference between a test and temptation. To test means to examine or observe if someone is capable of doing something. To tempt means to entice or lure someone into doing some...

PREVAILING OVER POVERTY

PREVAILING OVER POVERTY

II Corinthians 8:1-12
Devotional:- “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich” (V. 9) NKJV

There is no one poverty doesn’t want to rule over, but everyone prevails over it by working their way out of it with wisdom. God’s wisdom is stronger than poverty. The wisdom of this world is weak. Today a larger percentage of the population of the world is still poor. Over 80% are poor while 20% could be called the rich. I believe, in our time, that figure will change. You will also be listed among the rich in Jesus name.

Who is rich? He/she is the one whose investment dividend can sufficiently meet his needs. One of God’s wisdom to break poverty is to deny yourself to save a particular percentage of whatever comes to your hand. This will be difficult for those who are controlled by the flesh and give themselves to pleasure (Proverbs 21:17). After we have saved for some time, we can now seek counsel on what to invest in.

We need to know that apart from the fact that some people are not applying wisdom to their financial lives, multitude today are living with the spirit of poverty. You need to command it to leave your life. Show poverty the scripture we read today as the price Jesus has paid for you. Then cast him out of your life and family. Also, be determined to work in God’s wisdom for prosperity.

Start to sow in obedience to God’s instructions. That is the greatest investment. That is an investment to the kingdom of God (Matthew 6:19-20). The dividends are the grace of understanding to prosper (Isaiah 58:7-8). Then seek the knowledge of investment and trust in His favour. Soon you shall be promoted financially. A Sower will always be a reaper. Whatever comes to your hand will not die anymore. Your hand from now shall multiply all good things and you shall be free from poverty.

PRAYER: LORD, DESTROY THE POWER OF POVERTY IN MY LIFE.

“A MAN IS BLESSED BY WORDS BUT WEALTH IS GATHERED BY WISDOM”
