ASK

ASK Matthew 7:7-12  Devotional:- “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” (V.11) NKJV For us to be able to enjoy the love of God as believers, we must begin to ask God for our needs. It is the principle of God that you will only have what you ask (Matthew 7:7). If you don’t speak out to ask, you may not be given. This was the problem of the senior brother of the prodigal son (Luke 15:29-32). Everything is for Him, but he had never asked for any. But the younger brother knew how to ask You must also learn how to ask. This is because you will only enjoy what you asked for. We therefore need to learn how to ask. The word ‘ask’ is not the same as beg or loan. The word asks suggests confidence and courage. It means to demand for what you are due for. It means to ask for your rights and your entitlements in God (Galatians 3:13-14). The bible is a book of covenant ...

SPIRITUAL DRYNESS

SPIRITUAL DRYNESS

Judges 16:18-28
Devotional"= However, the hair of his head began to grow again after it had been shaven” (V.22) NKJV

A man who is strong and deep in faith could sometimes have spiritual dryness. This is a period when faith seems to have vanished, A period when you as a leader want to read your Bible and it looks as if it is all erased. You wouldn’t even see any revelation in it. A period when you want to spend a good time praying and you end up thinking and pondering upon your problems. Prayer time becomes boring, and in such time, it could seem better for you to sleep than to pray. Your mind becomes so empty and carries no power to impart no one. No one likes to witness such a season but it does happen. You only need to know how to avoid and get out of such a situation.

Samson a mighty man of God, having revealed the secret of his power to a woman put his life in danger of death. The hair he was divinely instructed not to cut was shaven and he lost his might. This made him a victim of his enemy. But the hair later began to grow again. This is the restoration of life and anointing.

When we begin to give more time to the work of God than the God of the work, we are opening doors to spiritual dryness. When we have no time to pray, to eat the bread of life (The word of God) and we disobey the Holy Spirit at will. At such times, God will see the need to withdraw a little from us to make us see our inability without Him; So that we might run back to Him. This also happens to David the king (Psalm 51:7-12).

At such times, please set time aside to be with God. Let Him know you are nothing without Him and that you are willing to be back (John 15:5). Ask for a renewal of the Spirit and God will answer your prayer. The hair of your spirit will begin to grow again. Please avoid these lapses, the enemy can take advantage of them to fulfill his desires. Don’t forget that God is still with you, He has promised never to leave you no matter what. Stop being afraid, He is by your side, your strength is restored from now in Jesus name.

PRAYER: LORD, RESTORE UNTO ME THE JOY OF THY SALVATION.

“EVERY DRY SEASON WILL ALWAYS BE FOLLOWED BY A HEAVY RAINY SEASON”.
