Instructions are commandments and directions from someone who knows better. And that is why God must be our instructor, though He could use His word and His holy people to speak to us.   We have to come to the awareness that we don’t know all things. PRINCIPLES OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

PRINCIPLES OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

Devotional:- “Even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference” (V. 22)

Reading through the scriptures, you will discover that God honors the righteous (Genesis 7:1). Because of this, men of old always want to do all in their power to live a righteous life before God and man. In most cases, people always misinterpret righteousness to be moral. That is why today, people want to kill others because they think they are not righteous, forgetting that the act of killing is also the act of unrighteousness. It is therefore important that we understand the principles of righteousness.

The word of God therefore revealed to us the principles of righteousness. It is built on submission and allowing God to lead our lives. The word of God says Abraham believed God and it was accounted to him for righteousness (Genesis 15:6). So, the first step into righteousness is to believe God (Hebrews 11:6). This is because faith in the word of God always makes us to obey God.

A righteous man Is therefore the one that always live according to the will of God. He/she is the one that fear God and always shun evil (Job 28:28). This is because he/she knows the consequences of sin. He/she knows that sin will disconnect from God and the grace of God (Romans 3:23; Romans 6:1-2). That is why our righteousness should not be built on culture, tradition or religion but standing right with God. This is what will make your relationship to be the best. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to always obey you.

“IT IS NOT HE THAT IS RIGHT, BUT HE THAT IS RIGHTEOUS”
