MY REFUGE

MY REFUGE Psalms 46:1-7 Devotional:- "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” (V. 1) It is always very easy for men to say God is not good to them when they have a pressing need. But if you observe it carefully, wisdom will let you always appreciate Him. It is not every one that began this year that is still alive now. Many were faced with challenges greater than themselves and were swallowed up. If you listen to the reasons for their falls, they are not too great. The truth is that you also have passed through challenges greater than theirs, but God was your refuge. Anytime you run to Him, you will find a hiding place in Him. Even when it looks like the situation wants to swallow you, you still find strength for help in God. Do you know that you have been enjoying His refuge not because you are better but because He loves you? No matter what happens, do not be afraid, your lover is your refuge. PRINCIPLES OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

PRINCIPLES OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

Devotional:- “Even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference” (V. 22)

Reading through the scriptures, you will discover that God honors the righteous (Genesis 7:1). Because of this, men of old always want to do all in their power to live a righteous life before God and man. In most cases, people always misinterpret righteousness to be moral. That is why today, people want to kill others because they think they are not righteous, forgetting that the act of killing is also the act of unrighteousness. It is therefore important that we understand the principles of righteousness.

The word of God therefore revealed to us the principles of righteousness. It is built on submission and allowing God to lead our lives. The word of God says Abraham believed God and it was accounted to him for righteousness (Genesis 15:6). So, the first step into righteousness is to believe God (Hebrews 11:6). This is because faith in the word of God always makes us to obey God.

A righteous man Is therefore the one that always live according to the will of God. He/she is the one that fear God and always shun evil (Job 28:28). This is because he/she knows the consequences of sin. He/she knows that sin will disconnect from God and the grace of God (Romans 3:23; Romans 6:1-2). That is why our righteousness should not be built on culture, tradition or religion but standing right with God. This is what will make your relationship to be the best. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to always obey you.

“IT IS NOT HE THAT IS RIGHT, BUT HE THAT IS RIGHTEOUS”
