HOW REAL SERVANTS ACT

HOW REAL SERVANTS ACT Mark 10:35-45 Devotional:- “Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant” (V. 43).   The world defines greatness in terms of power, possessions, prestige and position but God determined your greatness by how many people you serve. This is quite contrary to the world view. Jesus called Himself servant and to be like Him is to be a servant. That is why it is so important to have a servant’s heart. God often test our heart by asking us to serve even outside our shape or area of interest. Your priority area of service should be in your area of shape, but God could demand for your service wherever needed. Looking at how a servant act is important because one could serve in a church for years and not be a real servant. Real servants make themselves available to serve. If you only serve when it is convenient, then you are not a good servant (2 Timothy 2:4). Real servants pay attention to needs, always lo...

CONNECT

CONNECT

Devotional:- “But remember me when it is well with you, and please show kindness to me; make mention of me to Pharaoh, and get me out of this house” (V 14).

God has kept all that you will ever need inside relationship. The reason people lack is because they could not connect with people God has placed their help in their hand. That is why all of us must understand the need to connect with people God has placed around us for our solution. To connect is to be introduced to someone who is also open to accept you. To connect in marriage relationship is to open up for your partner and allow him or her to be permanently part of your life.

The wisdom of God to connect everywhere is revealed to us in the scripture. We saw Joseph, a mere prisoner with no one to bail him, yet, he got connected with people who recommended him at the palace of Pharaoh and he was released. This wisdom is to willingly be a solution to people in trouble. It is often said that a friend in need is a friend indeed (Matthew 25:31-40).

No matter how highly placed anyone is, they will have needs. When you can make yourself a solution, people will open up to you and you will be allowed in their homes. Observe the challenge of your spouse and help to solve the problem, then you will be connected. You cannot force yourself on people but there is no one you cannot connect with. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, make me a solution to all around me.
