A FRIEND

A FRIEND John 15:9-17  Devotional:- “...but l have called you friends…” (V. 15) In this generation, it is not a common thing to find true friends. This is someone who goes all out to see to your well-being. Someone who wants to identify with you in all situations. Someone who is not feeling fine until he sees you, someone who daily remembers to pray and intercede for you. It can be a terrible thing sometimes when you desire to share your mind with someone, and no one is willing to listen to you, or someone who could offer a little help. Sometimes we could be in need of a little encouragement, but no one to really do it. The people who are supposed to encourage us are the ones who misunderstand us and condemn us. We need to come to the understanding that God is our friend. He is not just your Lord and God. He always wants to listen to you. He is not happy when you are not (Hebrews 4:15). GOOD FOUNDATION

GOOD FOUNDATION

Devotional:- “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock” (V. 24)

The human race has always been deceived into pleasure mentality (Revelation 12:9). This singular factor has excluded multitude from being able to walk in wisdom. It closes doors of joy against many because, they feel they are not enjoying as others. It excludes multitude from financial wisdom because they think they have to pursue pleasure. The worst of it all is that it disallows people from having a good and solid home because pleasure has become a priority for many.

It is important for us to know that it is wisdom to build our family lives on the foundation of which the author of relationship has given. This is by obeying these instructions of the Lord for relationship. The Bible spells out how a home should run. Jesus likens it to a building which a wise man who builds should build on the rock. When storm comes and wind blows, the house could not fall.

Friend, let us follow the way of the Lord in order to have a strong family relationship. Don’t follow human culture and tradition (Romans 12:2). The word of God will guide you to true love because God Himself is love (1 John 4:7-8). The way of the Lord is not like that of your friends and customs. We are now new creature in Christ Jesus. Following the way of the Lord is wisdom. By that way, you will have God in Control of relationship that cannot be taken over by the devil. And your home shall be strong. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, help my relationship to be on the right foundation.
