He was a victim of jealousy and envy. Just as God lifted up His children every where, God granted him excelling wisdom and favour in the land of slavery. Though he was a slave, the favour of God brought him to the top. This he attained by using the gift and the grace of God in his life. God lifted him up to be among the presidents of the p...

BOOK OF LOVE

BOOK OF LOVE

Devotional:- “But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him” (V. 5)

The world today Is attempting to destroy the power of relationship. On daily basis, the principles of good relationship are not only broken but destroyed. Today, people are advised to express themselves anyhow. This is called civilization and freedom of speech. The virtue of honour to the elders is destroyed by the way people address each other. Yes, we should not be intimidated to talk to anyone when we ought to, yet moral demands that we do it with honour and respect for each other (Colossians 4:6).

The word of God tells us that no matter what the world is turning to; we are to keep obeying the scriptures (Matthew 7:24). That is when we can have the best of relationship. The word of God is the book of love. This is because; God is love (1 John 4:7-8). His lifestyle, attitude and habit are all love. If we therefore want to have the best of relationship, we will have to learn how to do that from the word of God.

Remember, we are people who are temperamental in all things. That is why you cannot allow yourself to be absolutely free without a principle guiding you in all that you do. It is these principles that will not let us go astray. By this, we will not fall prey to the tricks of the devil. No one knows it all. So, don’t live without a guiding standard to keep you in wisdom (Proverbs 25:28). Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to take your word as my guiding principle in my relationship.
