That is, they get annoyed and refuse to relate to one another. Many of us have some people we don’t greet now on this account. Some people have taken offence at their parents and relations, and they refused to relate to them. The truth is that if you know the harm you are doing to yourself by so doing, you will give up on this.   In the scripture we read today, John the Baptist was not happy because Jesus did not come to rescue him from prison, and he took offence at Christ. He sent messengers to Jesus to ask if He was the Christ or not. This question see...

PRINCIPLES OF LOVE

PRINCIPLES OF LOVE

Devotional:- “Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up” (V. 4)

Genuine love is fast eroding away from our world today. This is because, people want to practice love without the principles of love. This will only make such a lust and not love. It is important we understand the reason God created the union of relationship for the human. It is to make a person grow together with others and become mature enough to fulfill his/her destiny. So, without right relationship, many may not be able to succeed. Also, without true love, no relationship will be Successful.

The Bible, which is the book and the manual of good relationship highlighted to us the principle that makes it work. For any relationship to work, we must be willing to endure with each other. Fast food relationship will not work most time. We must be kind to each other, because we are prone to mistakes. True love is not self-displayed, it is sacrificial and knows that it is the grace of God that we are able to do whatever we are doing. Love will not disrespect others or be rude. Love always sees others important and put them first. Love does not imagine evil but good for others. Love hopes the best for others. It does not give up in difficulties.

For us to be able to walk in these principles, we must be ready to see the importance of others in our lives and sacrificially relate with them. We must also be responsible to cultivate each of the principle we are reading to make us skillful in quality relationships. That is when we can get the best of relationship. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to live by the principles of your love.
