A FRIEND John 15:9-17  Devotional:- “...but l have called you friends…” (V. 15) In this generation, it is not a common thing to find true friends. This is someone who goes all out to see to your well-being. Someone who wants to identify with you in all situations. Someone who is not feeling fine until he sees you, someone who daily remembers to pray and intercede for you. It can be a terrible thing sometimes when you desire to share your mind with someone, and no one is willing to listen to you, or someone who could offer a little help. Sometimes we could be in need of a little encouragement, but no one to really do it. The people who are supposed to encourage us are the ones who misunderstand us and condemn us. We need to come to the understanding that God is our friend. He is not just your Lord and God. He always wants to listen to you. He is not happy when you are not (Hebrews 4:15). PRINCIPLES OF LOVE

PRINCIPLES OF LOVE

Devotional:- “Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up” (V. 4)

Genuine love is fast eroding away from our world today. This is because, people want to practice love without the principles of love. This will only make such a lust and not love. It is important we understand the reason God created the union of relationship for the human. It is to make a person grow together with others and become mature enough to fulfill his/her destiny. So, without right relationship, many may not be able to succeed. Also, without true love, no relationship will be Successful.

The Bible, which is the book and the manual of good relationship highlighted to us the principle that makes it work. For any relationship to work, we must be willing to endure with each other. Fast food relationship will not work most time. We must be kind to each other, because we are prone to mistakes. True love is not self-displayed, it is sacrificial and knows that it is the grace of God that we are able to do whatever we are doing. Love will not disrespect others or be rude. Love always sees others important and put them first. Love does not imagine evil but good for others. Love hopes the best for others. It does not give up in difficulties.

For us to be able to walk in these principles, we must be ready to see the importance of others in our lives and sacrificially relate with them. We must also be responsible to cultivate each of the principle we are reading to make us skillful in quality relationships. That is when we can get the best of relationship. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to live by the principles of your love.
