HOW REAL SERVANTS ACT

HOW REAL SERVANTS ACT Mark 10:35-45 Devotional:- “Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant” (V. 43).   The world defines greatness in terms of power, possessions, prestige and position but God determined your greatness by how many people you serve. This is quite contrary to the world view. Jesus called Himself servant and to be like Him is to be a servant. That is why it is so important to have a servant’s heart. God often test our heart by asking us to serve even outside our shape or area of interest. Your priority area of service should be in your area of shape, but God could demand for your service wherever needed. Looking at how a servant act is important because one could serve in a church for years and not be a real servant. Real servants make themselves available to serve. If you only serve when it is convenient, then you are not a good servant (2 Timothy 2:4). Real servants pay attention to needs, always lo...

PRINCIPLE OF COMMUNICATION

PRINCIPLE OF COMMUNICATION

Devotional:- “Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one” (V. 6)

Communication is a singular factor that is so much needed to build and grow any relationship. When people don’t take this serious, they will struggle in their relationship. No matter the kind of relationship, Communication is the key. Since we know how important relationship is to each of us, we must therefore give attention to learning the principle of communication.

The principle of communication demands that anyone who wants to share must create the right atmosphere. Good atmosphere will help your hearers to open both their hearts and ears to listen and understand what you are saying. it also demands that we have a good understanding and clarity of what we intend to share with others. It demands that we should not communicate with a bitter heart; else, we shall be resisted. It also demands that communication should be with honour and respect for whosoever we are communicating with (Romans 12:10). Even if you are rebuking or reprimanding, please learn to do it in love (Ephesians 4:5).

Communication demands that we are patient with others. Some are slow learner while others are fast learner. A good communicator must also be a good listener. After sharing with others, he should listen to response from them. Communication is actually like an intercourse. It helps us to penetrate into each other’s life. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, teach me to be a good communicator.
