PROTECT YOUR HEART

Image
PROTECT YOUR HEART  Proverbs 4:20-27 Devotional:- “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life” (V. 23) NLT      Everyone is born with a strength capable of rising to greatness. In every growing child is a seed of greatness. It is this strength that makes the youth so creative and energetic. That is why each young person looks at the future with great hope. The enemy tries to destroy this strength. As strong as many started in life, not many could strike the chord of success because their strength was destroyed.

DESTROY DEPRESSION

Image
DESTROY DEPRESSION 1 Samuel 1:8-18 Devotional:- “And she said, “Let your maidservant find favor in your sight.” So the woman went her way and ate, and her face was no longer sad” (V. 18) NKJV      A major problem confronting most people today is depression of the heart. To be depressed is to be conquered by one’s situations. It is to give in to defeat and be down (Psalm 43:5). Depression is a terrible situation that can make a life miserable. The reason for unproductive life is depression. The moment people give in to depression they will remain in a circle and struggle to progress.

RESTORATION OF LIFE

Image
RESTORATION OF LIFE Scripture Reading: John 11:36-44 Devotional:- Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, "Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. (V. 41) NKJV      Sometimes, when things are going down, we become so scared. This is because in such times, we may not know what to do to bring it back to life. One of the mystery of praises is that it gets God involved in our situation (Psalm 22:3). That is why when we praise Him in such situation, He steps in and bring what is dead back to life.

LITTLE MULTIPLIED

Image
LITTLE MULTIPLIED Scripture Reading: John 6:1-13 Devotional:- And Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks He distributed them to the disciples, and the disciples to those sitting down; and likewise of the fish, as much as they wanted. (V. 11) NKJV      Whenever praises goes up, then there will be supernatural manifestation in the life of people. This is because God will step in and begin to perform beyond human comprehension.

PERFECTING YOUR MIRACLES

Image
PERFECTING YOUR MIRACLES Scripture Reading: Luke 17:12-19 Devotional:- And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, (V. 15) NKJV      It's a great thing when God start a good work in your life and complete it. Everyone rejoices at project completion. That is why you should know that one of the factor that commit God to complete anything He starts in your life is your praises.

RELEASING THE HARVEST

Image
RELEASING THE HARVEST           Scripture Reading: Psalms 67: 1-7 Devotional :- Then the earth shall yield her increase; God, our own God, shall bless us. (V. 6) NKJV      One of the factors of frustration in life of many today is the challenges of lack of harvest. God in His faithfulness has covenanted to give harvest to every good sower with good seed. The Bible says “God cannot be mocked, whatsoever a man sowed he shall reap “(Galatians 6:7). That is why a righteous sower should not lack harvest (Psalm 37:25).

DOORS OF NEW INSIGHT

Image
DOORS OF NEW INSIGHT Scripture Reading: 2Kings 3:6-19 Devotional:-  But now bring me a musician." Then it happened, when the musician played, that the hand of the LORD came upon him. (V. 15) NKJV      Part of the blessings of a praiseful life is gaining new insight of life. This is because when we are praiseful we keep a joyful heart notwithstanding situations. As a result of that, our heart gain liberty and openness by the help of the Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 3:17, Isaiah 12:3). And God can minister understanding to us. That is why only with joy can draw water from the well of salvation (Isaiah 12:3).

PRESERVING YOUR BLESSINGS

Image
PRESERVING YOUR BLESSINGS Scripture Reading: Malachi 2:1-7 Devotional:- “If you will not hear, And if you will not take it to heart, To give glory to My name," Says the LORD of hosts, "I will send a curse upon you, And I will curse your blessings. Yes, I have cursed them already, Because you do not take it to heart” (V. 2) NKJV      People always see it as a difficult thing to gather wealth and breakthrough but little did many knows that the most difficult thing is preserving the blessing. That is why the world is filled with too many ex-rich men and women. Attaining a success status is not as difficult as maintaining the status.

SILENCE THE ENEMY

Image
SILENCE THE ENEMY Psalms 8:1-9 Devotional:- “Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have ordained strength, Because of Your enemies, That You may silence the enemy and the avenger.” (V. 2) NKJV      There will always be an opposition for anyone wherever we find ourselves. There is nothing anyone can do about this. As long as the devil is still in the world, he will always create opposition on the way of the children of God. But Jesus gave us the solution in praises.

HAVING FAVOUR

Image
HAVING FAVOUR Scripture Reading: Act 2:40-47 Devotional:- “praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved” (V. 47) NKJV      A life of disfavored will always lack support and help. Disfavored is the opposite of favour. But this is not for a child of God. Our redemptive package is favour inclusive (Psalm 5:12). That is why the righteous cannot beg (Psalm 37:25). So, if you find a life of disfavor, then something is wrong somewhere. In most cases, it is inability to humbly praise God that hinder favour. In aability to humble yourself to praise God is a pointer to ingratitude. When people are ungrateful they have secret intimidation by the success of another person. When people are ungrateful they have secret fear of failure.

LADDER OF LIFTING

Image
LADDER OF LIFTING  Scripture Reading: Habakkuk 3:8-19 Devotional:- “The LORD God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer's feet, And He will make me walk on my high hills” (V. 19) NKJV      Praises as it were, only truly come out of the mouth of the humble. Praises is not just singing. It is an act of humbling exhorting the Lord. It is not for those who want to please people or demonstrate that they are somebody. Singing with a good voice does not make you give praises to God. God sees your heart and not your mouth (1 Samuel 16:7).

UNSTOPPABLE

Image
UNSTOPPABLE Scripture Reading: Psalm 114:1-8 Devotional:- Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, At the presence of the God of Jacob, (V. 7) NKJV          Praises will make your life unstoppable. This is because God's presence will be with you and it will be unhindered by anyone (Romans 8:31). The challenge with us is that we have not really have the opportunity to have the glimpse of the power and the greatness of God. Then we will fear God. Nothing will have value to you anymore. Because they will be too small in your understanding. The Psalm we read today described the experience of the children of Israel in the wilderness. Beginning from verse one it said “when Israel left Egypt, Judah became His sanctuary and God was ruling over Israel. Judah means praises. It means they were living in praises to God. And as a result, the sea saw it and fled. Jordan River turned back. Mountains skipped like Rams and the little hills like lambs. In order word, they ...

CONQUEROR

Image
CONQUEROR   Scripture Reading: Exodus 15:1-10 Devotional:- Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to the LORD, and spoke, saying: "I will sing to the LORD, For He has triumphed gloriously! The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea! (V. 1) NKJV      God is mightier than your imagination. He is bigger than your thinking. There is no trouble that can wait before Him. Whatever you see as a mountain today is nothing but just like a tissue paper before God. If you can provoke Him to arise with your praises, your enemy will come and beg you. It will not take more than praises.

ENFORCING THE COVENANT

Image
ENFORCING THE COVENANT  Scripture Reading: Matthew 21: 6-17 Devotional;- “And He said to them, "It is written, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer,' but you have made it a 'den of thieves.'" (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God is the covenant of God for man. They are perfected and purchased by the blood of Jesus for our benefits. Jesus paid His own life to purchase for us the covenants. Yet, the life of many believers are more miserable than imagine. This is simply the work of the enemy. The solution to this is praises.

FORCES OF CHANGE

Image
FORCES OF CHANGE Scripture Reading: Act 16:23-34 Devotional:- Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone's chains were loosed. (V. 26) NKJV      In the course of our journey on earth, we are bound to face challenges (John 16:33). This is because for every action there will always be a reaction. But Jesus instructs us that we should not allow the reactions to intimidate us. We should rather rejoice all through (James 1:2). In praises, we will employ the forces of God for our change.

VICTORY

Image
VICTORY Scripture Reading: 2Chronicles 20:14-30 Devotional:- Now when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated. (V. 22) NKJV      No matter what or who is opposing you today cannot wait for the Lord. We have come to the time when you must be identified as a terror even in the camp of your adversaries. That the church is terrorized today, is a pointer to a misplacement of order of God. Power must change hand.

ACCESSING HIM

Image
ACCESSING HIM Scripture Reading: Psalms 100:1-5 Devotional:- Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. (V. 4) NKJV      Often time, we complain of prayers not been answered. This is really not true about God. This is because He has covenanted to answer every prayer

CO- HABITANT

Image
CO- HABITANT   Scripture Reading: Psalms 22:1-5 Devotional:- .But You are holy, Enthroned in the praises of Israel. (V. 3) NKJV       In the history of men, we are in a time that we need more of the presence of God than ever. This is because of the perilous time in which we are now  (2 Timothy 3:1-5). One of the cheapest way to have God with you always is to live a praiseful life. David said when I passed through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, because the Lord is with me. (Psalm 23:4) When you choose to live a life of praises, then you and God will be living together, driving together, working or trading together and lying down together. Why? This is because God inhabit the praise of His people. That is, your praises attracts the personal presence of God to your life. Praises is the food for God. The Bible says “He is on the lookout for anyone who will keep worshipping Him (John 4:23). Praises graduates to worship when it is deep from ...

PRAISES AND WONDERS

Image
PRAISES AND WONDERS Scripture Reading: Exodus 15:11-19 Devotional:-  "Who is like You, O LORD, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, Fearful in praises, doing wonders? (V. 11) NKJV      The sons of men have seen the Power of God in diverse ways, but they have not seen the greatest of His power which will always come through praises. So many Christians have learnt so much about prayer but not as much as praises. You need to experience the power of God through praises to know how mighty our God is. This is because whenever you are praiseful you are shunning the lies of the devil to stand in faith of the word of God.

THE PAST

Image
THE PAST Isaiah 43:16-21 Devotional:- "Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old” (v. 18)      One of the enemy of a heart of praise is inability to overcome the past. This problem affect some people because of a long time stagnancy in the time of low state. That is why we must be careful not to internalize anything that is happening to us. That is, we must not allow any negative situation to be part of our mentality. Whatever we internalize becomes part of our lives (Proverbs 23:7).

MURMUR NOT

Image
MURMUR NOT Scripture Reading: 1 Corinthians 10:6-11 Devotional:- Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. (V. 10) KJV      So many people love the praises of God and yet they are specialist in murmuring. The truth is that you cannot be murmuring and be praiseful. You need to know that been praiseful means, you are celebrating the goodness and the greatness God. Murmuring means you are complaining that God is not good to you. So, show me how they can work together.

COMPANY OF PRAISES

Image
COMPANY OF PRAISES Scripture Reading: Psalm 1:1-6 Devotional:- Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; (V. 1) NKJV      Another booster of praises is the company of praises. This is because the company you keep will influence your life (Proverbs 13:20) If a man is keeping an unbelieving friend, praises to God will be strange among them, if you start to say praise the Lord, they will turn it to laughing stuff, so unbelieving friends will not motivate you to praise God (James 4:4)

RIGHTEOUSNESS

Image
RIGHTEOUSNESS  Scripture Reading: 2 Timothy2:11-19  Devotional:- Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: "The Lord knows those who are His," and, "Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity." (V. 19) NKJV      The word of God says “God does not listen to the prayers of sinners” So also the praises of sinners (Psalm 66:18). If our praises will be acceptable before God, then we must first deal with the issues of sin. God and sin are not friendly. That is why the praises of sinners will not produce anything in God. No matter how sweet or melodious the songs are, it does not matter to God if our heart is not for Him.

HUMILITY

Image
HUMILITY Scripture Reading: James 4:1-10 Devotional:- Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. (V. 10) NKJV      A person with a proud hearted cannot praise the Lord. Pride will not allow anyone to be qualify before the Lord. Pride is a function of overestimation of self, above the actual level of grace (Romans 12:3). A proud man will see praises as childish affairs and feel he cannot condescend so low to be jumping like a monkey in church in the name of praise (2 Samuel 6:20-23).

HOW OFTEN

Image
HOW OFTEN Scripture Reading: Psalms 34:1-7 Devotional:- I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. (V. 1)  NKJV      As long as God is a burden to you, He cannot be a blessing to you. When it comes to praises, it should be what is flowing per second in your mouth and from your heart. This is because God deserves your praises. How much are you paying for your breathing in and out? You should ask a physician what the oxygen in the hospital costs per hour.

PROMISES OF GOD

Image
PROMISES OF GOD Scripture Reading: Psalm 119:161-168 Devotional:-  "I rejoice at Your word As one who finds great treasure." (V. 162) NKJV      One of the booster of praises is to always celebrate the promises of the word of God. This is thanking God because of the promises He has fulfilled and the one He will still fulfill. This is an act of faith. The word of God says “Hannah went her Way, ate and her face was no longer sad” (1 Samuel 1:18). This is celebrating the word of God.

FOR HIS GOODNESS

Image
FOR HIS GOODNESS Scripture Reading: Psalms 107:1-9 Devotional:- Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men! (V. 8) NKJV      God deserves the praises of His people. This is because He is good to humanity in all ways. That is why it takes the humble to praise Him. Oftentimes, we are so full of our needs so much more that we don't see the reason to appreciate all that the Lord is doing. Because we are so need driven, when God has done a thing what we are thinking of is the next one.

IT PLEASES THE LORD

Image
IT PLEASES THE LORD  1 Thessalonians 5:14:22 Devotional- “in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” (V. 18) NKJV  Human reasoning wants to rejoice only when things are good. When it looks less, we often want to complain and shift blame. The word of God instructs us to always rejoice in the Lord (Philippians 4:1). That is, rejoicing in the hope we have in our God. The Bible says “this is the will of God in Christ Jesus”.

GRATITUDE

Image
GRATITUDE Scripture Reading: Colossians 3:12-17  Devotional:- "And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful". (V. 15) NKJV      Gratitude is an act of been grateful. As beautiful as gratitude could be, it is a virtue that is so scarce among the sons of men. This is because of the proud nature of our hearts. This is because of our selfish intension or motives.

THANKSGIVING

Image
THANKSGIVING Scripture Reading: Psalms 107:21-31 Devotional:- "Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men!" (V. 21) NKJV      To be thankful to the Lord is to appreciate Him for all His wonderful works in our lives. One of the things that brings stagnancy to the life of men is when God is not appreciated for what He is doing. When a man is not thankful it is because the devil has successfully blindfolded him to the goodness of the Lord. That is why you must not allow this to happen to you.

PRAISES

Image
PRAISES Scripture Reading: 1 Peter 2:4-10 Devotional:- "But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light"; (V. 9) NKJV      Giving praises to God is an act of appreciating God for whom He has been to you. That makes praises personal a lot of the time. What God has been to you may be different from what He has been to me. For you He is a healer right now, for another He is a deliverer. That is why God is praise from the beginning to the end of every day (Psalm 113:3)

HOW POTENT IS PRAISE

Image
HOW POTENT IS PRAISE Scripture Reading: Psalms 92:1-4 Devotional:- It is good to give thanks to the LORD, And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; (V.1) NKJV      One of the greatest strength missing in the life of many children of God is Praises and thanksgiving. Because of the idolatry background of some people, their view of God is still very religious. God is the author of religion but He has left that longest time and people are still deep in it. The time has come for us to get real with God.
