PROTECT YOUR HEART

Image
PROTECT YOUR HEART  Proverbs 4:20-27 Devotional:- “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life” (V. 23) NLT      Everyone is born with a strength capable of rising to greatness. In every growing child is a seed of greatness. It is this strength that makes the youth so creative and energetic. That is why each young person looks at the future with great hope. The enemy tries to destroy this strength. As strong as many started in life, not many could strike the chord of success because their strength was destroyed.

MEEKNESS

Image
MEEKNESS   Read: Numbers 12:1-9  Devotional:- “Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth” (V.3) KJV      The most vital aspect of faith is for you to yield to God’s instructions. God wants us to obey Him by faith. This is a level of honour to God. If Moses did not obey God he would not have seen all the miracles he saw in Egypt and in the wilderness. If the priests will not obey to step into Jordan by faith, the water would not have parted for them (Joshua 3:13). If Peter will not obey Jesus to launch his net into the deep he would not have seen the miracle of many fishes (Luke 5:4-7). If the disciple will not obey Jesus to fetch water as commanded, they would not have seen the miracle wine (John 2:5-8). If anyone will not obey God’s instruction, he may not see the glory of God (John 1:40).

YOUR COMPANY

Image
YOUR COMPANY  Read: 2 Kings 6:8–23  Devotional:- “So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them” (V.16).             If you do not have a right company around you and in your mind the devil will help you compose one. All of us have to be spiritually conscious that some spiritual forces are always around us (Exodus 33:14, Psalms 91:11).  This we know by our feelings because we are also spiritual beings. It is only the body we live in that has limited us to be able to have physical view of them. But then you need to know that you are the one that determines the forces that stands around you.

EXERCISING IN THE SPIRIT

Image
EXERCISING IN THE SPIRIT Read: Jude 1:17–22 Devotional:- “But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit” (V.20).      For you to be built up in faith you must be filled with the Holy Spirit and must regularly exercise in it. That is because it the exercise in the spirit that inspire, anoint and build faith in you for achievement of God’s will for your life (Jude 20, Act 4:31). It will be dangerous for anyone to remain dry in the Spirit, it could lead to a total defeat in life. That is why God’s word asks us to build up ourselves in the spirit.

HOLY SPIRIT

Image
HOLY SPIRIT Read: John 16:5-15  Devotional:- “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come (V.13)      It should be settled in your heart that you are a spirit being. You are not just an ordinary flesh like mere animal. You are more than a mere biological being. Please know that one spirit or the other influences all human being. There are two major spirits that controls the human life; the Holy Spirit (the Spirit of God) or the un-holy spirit (The spirit of the enemy). No one is free from either of this spirit. No neutral ground and no vacuum. All of us have either of them.

OBEDIENCE

Image
OBEDIENCE Read: Luke 5:1-10  Devotional:- “But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net” (V.5)       If we shall see the great power of God in our life, if we shall become a point of reference to the mighty works of God, if we shall become God’s vessel to turn the world around, then we must embrace obedience to God’s instruction. Often time when God speaks to us, our mind queries His instruction. They don’t look reasonable but they are powerful.

WHAT IS THE TRUTH

Image
WHAT IS THE TRUTH   Read: John 8:31-36 Devotional:- “And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free” (V.32)      All that man need to be free from all bondages of life is the encounter with the truth. The truth is a mystery and the secret of the power of God. All these are hidden in the in the word of God (Proverbs 25:2). Having the knowledge of the truth is like knowing the working power of God. The truth is that no one handles power and will not attempt to use it. When something is yet to work for you in God, don’t ever think God is a failure. It is only that you do not have the truth about the matter yet (Hosea 4:6).

STATE OF HEART

Image
STATE OF HEART Read: Mark 11:20–26  Devotional:- “So Jesus answered and said to them, “have faith in God” (V.22).      Even though God is so powerful and mighty many of us have limited the manifestation of His power in our life all the while. This is due to the state of our mind. The state of your heart of is what determines the state of your faith.

GOD’S PRESENCE

Image
GOD’S PRESENCE Read: Psalms 23:1-6  Devotional:- “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me” (V.4)      One of the weapons of faith that all God’s children must carry in their mind is the presence of God. God promised us that He will be with us in whatever situation we may be (Isaiah 43:1-5, Matthew 28:19). But this will have no effect if left in our Bible and not established in our spirit. You need to let it be settled in your heart that God is with you and this will produce great power in your heart.

REGULAR MEAL

Image
REGULAR MEAL Read: Luke 4:1-4  Devotional:- “But Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God” (V.4)       Physically, what a you regularly feed on will always determine your fitness. So it is in all areas of our life. Most of us have not come to the awareness of the fact that what we feed our spirit with will always determine our strength or weakness. That is why God’s word warned us to be careful of what we listen to (Mark 4:24).

GOD’S REVELATION

Image
GOD’S REVELATION Read: 1 Samuel 17:23–32  Devotional:- “Then David spoke to the men who stood by him, saying, “What shall be done for the man who kills this Philistine and takes away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?” (V.26)        Everyone at the face of battle needs what will arouse our mind to strength. The weapon of God that produces our faith is the revelation in the word of God. When God’s word is revealed to our heart, it creates tremendous power. It breeds faith in us and makes us to operate in the supernatural strength of God for our victory.

KNOWLEDGE OF GOD

Image
KNOWLEDGE OF GOD Read: Daniel 11:31–35  Devotional:- “Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.” (V.32)       In this world of temptation and tribulation, those who know Him still wonderfully demonstrate God’s power. The time we are into is a strange time. Many people, families, businesses or ministries are been defeated; yet in this same time some children of God are doing great things. The difference is their knowledge of God and not luck.

WORD POWER

Image
WORD POWER Read: Luke 1:26–38  Devotional:- “For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment (V.37) AMPL      Most people have not come to know how powerful the word of God is. People tend to see the Bible as a book of stories or events. They had never experience the power of God through His word. They lack the understanding that the word has been God’s instrument for creation. They do not know that Jesus Christ is the word Himself (John 1:1-14).

LABOUR OF FAITH.

Image
LABOUR OF FAITH. Read: Hebrews 4:1-12  Devotional:- “Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief” (V.11)       Most believers have not come to the understanding of the need to labour in the word of God. Everybody wants the exploit of the strength of the word of God in their lives but they are not ready to labour for it. Laboring in the word of God is simply studying to know the truth of the word of God.

GETTING FAITH

Image
GETTING FAITH  Read: Romans 10:13-17  Devotional:- “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (V.17)      It is of great importance that we know that faith is not just confessions. It is not just believing but it is rather a weapon in God to be taken like a shield for battle (Ephesians 6:16). It has its source in the word of God. When faith is not having the word of God as its source then it is fake and capable of bringing shame. The word of God is the source of genuine faith that cannot fail. The ignorance of this is the reason for the frustration in the body of Christ today. People think they have faith when they do not. The word of God could come to you through the preaching of God’s word either through the electronic media o

TESTIMONY

Image
TESTIMONY Read: 1 Samuel 17:30–37  Devotional:- “Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God” (V.36)        One of the major instigators of faith in our heart is testimony. Testimony is the sharing of the manifestation of the power of God. The bible itself is a book of testimonies of the wonderful deeds of God. Anywhere the testimonies of God’s deeds are shared faith is activated. This is because God is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrew 13:8). What He has done yesterday He can also do today. What He has done for mister ‘A’ He can as well do for mister ‘B’

HOPE

Image
HOPE   Read: Romans 4:13-22  Devotional:- “who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be” (V.18).       Today so many people have come to believe that having hope is actually wrong. They think life is better based on fate and not faith. Fate is whatever life can bring but faith is the assurance of what God can do. If you cannot be hopeful in God, then you cannot wait to see the great doing of God in your life.

JOINT HEIRS

Image
JOINT HEIRS Read: Romans 8:14-17  Devotional:- “And if children, then heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if we indeed suffer with Him that we may also be glorified together” (V.17)      It is important that you identify who you are in Christ Jesus. Living as what God says you are and not as what people or situation says you are. This is right self-esteem. This is how you can by faith enforce the will of God over your life and destiny.

RIGHTEOUSNESS

Image
RIGHTEOUSNESS  Read: Romans 3:21-26 Devotional:- “Even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference” (V.22)      As army of faith, we must be of good understanding of our righteousness in God. One of the ways the devil easily weaken people’s faith is by condemning them or reminding them of their past sin. So many believer also still operate in the mentality of religion and not faith. Since people think they are humble to always think of their sin whenever there is a challenge, the enemy makes them see themselves as not qualified of any benefit of God. All these are product of ignorance.

SONSHIP

Image
SONSHIP  Read: John 1:9-14  Devotional:- “But as many as receive Him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name” (V.12).      It is of great importance to constantly keep in your mind the revelation about your son-ship in God. This reminds you of your status in Christ and gives you a steady growth in faith. If you forget the son of whom you are, you are bound to face what you are not supposed.

BLOOD OF THE LAMB

Image
BLOOD OF THE LAMB Read: Revelation 12:9-12 Devotional: “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death” (V.11) KJV      Children of God need to come to the understanding of the fact that playing safe is creates limitations. It is time to step out of your little place and face the challenges of life for victory.

ACTION

Image
ACTION Read: James 2: 14 -24  Devotional:- “Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead” (V.17)       Faith and action are inseparable. Wherever there is faith there will also be action. The truth is that faith has its evidence in action just as wisdom is evident in physical manifestation. When a man is not taking action it is because he has no faith. At the point of faith everyone will be ready for action, for it is the action that delivers every products of faith.

CONFESSION

Image
CONFESSION   Read: Hebrew 10:19-24  Devotional:- “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promise is faithful” (V.23).        The reason why our word is so important to our life is because it is the product of our heart. Our heart is the source of all that will befall us in life (Matthew 12:34). So since the Holy Spirit birthed faith into our heart whatever comes out of our mouth determines our life (Proverbs 18:21). So what you say to yourself will surely hold. What people are saying does not have as much effect as what you say by yourself. Faith is the confession of that which is good and perfect will of God concerning our lives and situations.

ASSURANCE

Image
ASSURANCE Read: John 2: 1 -10  Devotional:- “And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “they have no wine” (V.3).       Faith is assurance.  To be assured is to have a strong supportive notion that confirms that the expected is certain. When people lack assurance they cannot but doubt. The characteristic of assurance is peace. When you are assured you will be at rest. People who have insurance are always confident how much more people with an assurance.

PERSISTENT

Image
PERSISTENT  Read: Hebrews 6:9-18  Devotional:- “That you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promise” (V.12)       Faith is persistence. When people embark on a race and soon give up that is the extent that their faith can carry them. In God you cannot do without faith. Your destiny must not be thrown into a trash can. That is why you cannot afford to just give up this race of life. You must win. Sometimes God is not moved by how long but how firm you have decided to stand to the end.

WAITING ON THE LORD

Image
WAITING ON THE LORD Read: Luke 2:21–33  Devotional:- “And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the Consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him.” (V.25)       One of the acts of faith that moves God is our ability to wait on Him. This is faith, since God made the promise; I must wait to see the fulfillment. I discovered that there is a power that can stop death and that is faith. humanity has not fully understood that they determines their lot on earth. Whether to die or to live is your choice no matter the situation (Deuteronomy 30:19). So you can wait for as long as you desire to see God’s glory.

STANDING ON

Image
STANDING ON   Read: Acts 27:13 -25  Devotional:- “And now I urge you to take heart, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only of the ship.” (V.22)      Faith is standing upon the word of God. This is basing your calmness and confidence upon what God said. You will know a man of faith by his measure of calmness and peace irrespective of challenging situations he faces. He will not be moved by anything that is happening. Why? He has heard God and that He is enough for him. He is not fearful but calm-full. In other word within him he has overcome the war without.

LIVING POSITIVE

Image
LIVING POSITIVE Read: Genesis 45: 1 -13  Devotional:- “But now do not therefore be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here, for God sent me before you to preserve life” (V.5)       Many of us have not come to this truth that God meant business when He created man. So many still look at life as a joke but few have begun to take their place in destiny. I see you joining the great in Jesus name. God has earlier revealed to Joseph that he will be a ruler even over his own brothers. Yet for many years it was not looking like it. His brothers hated him deeply but the bible never recorded a time of grievous reaction from Joseph.

EXPECTATION

Image
EXPECTATION Read: Acts 3:1-10  Devotional:- “So he gave them his attention expecting to receive something from them” (V.5).      God the creator of heaven and earth has great expectations concerning all his creation (Jeremiah 29:11). But what determines individual’s portion on earth is your expectations. Most people expect failure and disappointment; they cannot see themselves competent enough for greatness in life. They see themselves unqualified for the realm of glory, but they never knew that they are victims of their own expectations.

SURE WORD

Image
SURE WORD Read: 2 Peter 1: 16 -21 Devotional:- “We have also a more sure word of prophesy: whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place until the day dawn and the day star arise in your hearts” (V.19) KJV.      Faith will not yet be faith until it found a strong substance of assurance in the heart of a man. Faith is truly an action but basically dependent on a certainty. In other word, the more certain a promise is to you, the stronger your faith will be. No one will have a certain or sure word that will not believe. I love to let you know that God’s word is the surest foundation for which you can bet your life.

SUBSTANCE OF REALITY

Image
SUBSTANCE OF REALITY   Read: Hebrews 11:1 -3 Devotional:- “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (V.1)      The body of Christ will need to be careful to really understand the core message of the bible which is faith. When it is not in place, nothing good can be accomplished, even God cannot be pleased (Hebrews 11:6). Therefore it becomes very important to give attention to the subject of faith. Faith is the foundation for our salvation (Ephesians 2:8)

ANY THING IS POSSIBLE

Image
ANY THING IS POSSIBLE Read: Mark 9:14 -27  Devotional:- “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes” (V.23) NKJV      We need to come to the awareness of the potency of the God we serve. He can do all things. He created the heavens and the earth. He created the mountains and the sea, He parted the red sea; He brought water from the rock and what else can He not do. If you see true greatness happening in the life of anyone today, it is through Him and there is nothing He cannot do (Luke1:37, John 3:27).
