  MEDIATING Hebrews 8:1-13 Devotional:- “But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises” (V. 6) NKJV In the Old Testament, the human priest used to stand in the gap between God and man. But because they are also human and can also sin, their priesthood was not able to actually deliver the human race. This is the ministry Jesus is carrying out on behalf of the believers since His ascension to heaven.  This ministry was taken over by Jesus because He loves us. Though He is seated on the throne but sitting closely to the Father to advocate for us. A mediator is someone who stands in the gap between the benefactor and the beneficiary. He is the one who pleads our cause to God. He is the one who intercedes for us before the Father. That is why we can be certain of our faith in God through Christ Jesus. WAITING ON THE LORD

Scripture Reading: Isaiah 40:21-31

Devotional Verse –
“But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint” (V. 31)

The prosperity of a child of God has so many roots in the act of waiting on the Lord. This is because the strength of man will fail at a certain point, but the strength of God cannot fail. So, allowing Him to be the source of our strength is wisdom. When you are not depending on the devil to prosper or following his dubious ways, he will look for every way to discourage you. That is why our strength should not be in ourselves but in God (1 Samuel 2:9).



The act of waiting on the Lord is the act of separating time from time to time to receive divine direction from God. His ways are the ways of strength. Strength herefore, is the ability to keep prospering even when your own strength can no more cope. Waiting on the Lord is a product of having time daily like 30 minutes or an hour. Sometimes it could be made weekly or monthly affair, to separate oneself in a day or two just to be in His presence for direction.

In such times, God shows us the way to go to resolve our confusion and to solve our problems (Isaiah 48:17, Psalms 32:8-9). In this way, we fellowship with divine ideas as we fellowship in His presence (Act 13:1-2). That way we keep knowing the way forward and our strength is renewed to continue to prosper. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, give me the grace to always wait on you
“THE SOURCE OF YOUR STRENGTH, DETERMINES YOUR ABILITY FOR CONTINUITY”

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
