MANDATE OF VICTORY

MANDATE OF VICTORY Joshua 1:1-6 Devotional:- “No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you” (V. 5) NKJV God has no plan or programme of failure or defeat for you. He made all things available for your victory. Many of us have not come to an awareness that we are not here on our own. We are here for God. You are created by God. Packaged and sent to this world to manifest for Him (Isaiah 43:21). So God has a lion's share in your failure if you fail and vis-à-vis if you succeed. So if you fail, He is not happy. He knows that you are going to face some forces that will challenge your life. This could be in the school, office, and in society. But He has written a decree of your victory before you begin the battle. So for a Christian, the battle of life is fixed. God, who is in the beginning and the end, has determined the winner. And that is you. He said no one shall be able to with...

WAITING ON THE LORD

Scripture Reading: Isaiah 40:21-31

Devotional Verse –
“But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint” (V. 31)

The prosperity of a child of God has so many roots in the act of waiting on the Lord. This is because the strength of man will fail at a certain point, but the strength of God cannot fail. So, allowing Him to be the source of our strength is wisdom. When you are not depending on the devil to prosper or following his dubious ways, he will look for every way to discourage you. That is why our strength should not be in ourselves but in God (1 Samuel 2:9).

The act of waiting on the Lord is the act of separating time from time to time to receive divine direction from God. His ways are the ways of strength. Strength herefore, is the ability to keep prospering even when your own strength can no more cope. Waiting on the Lord is a product of having time daily like 30 minutes or an hour. Sometimes it could be made weekly or monthly affair, to separate oneself in a day or two just to be in His presence for direction.

In such times, God shows us the way to go to resolve our confusion and to solve our problems (Isaiah 48:17, Psalms 32:8-9). In this way, we fellowship with divine ideas as we fellowship in His presence (Act 13:1-2). That way we keep knowing the way forward and our strength is renewed to continue to prosper. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, give me the grace to always wait on you
“THE SOURCE OF YOUR STRENGTH, DETERMINES YOUR ABILITY FOR CONTINUITY”
