FORGIVING YOURSELF

FORGIVING YOURSELF Luke 22:54-62  Devotional:- “So Peter went out and wept bitterly.bitterly.” (V.62) NKJV Before a man can begin to enjoy the expressive love of God in his life, he must learn the act of self-forgiveness. Self-condemnation is always a terrible permission for the devil to take over in the life of a believer. This can make him lose his self-worth in God’s presence. It can make a believer lose his authority in Christ. It can make a believer lose his joy and build an environment of sorrow. And you need to know that the environment of sorrow removes from you the presence of God. He only dwells where there is fullness of joy (Psalms 16:11). Unforgiveness can make a man build an atmosphere of fear and then permit the presence of demons. This also breeds discouragement and frustration and makes the life of its victim miserable. The wonderful thing in the scripture we read today is that, though Peter denied Christ publicly and committed a grievous sin, he did not let...

TIME TO PRAY

Sermon by Title: It's Time To PrayScripture Reading: Mark 1:35-39

Devotional: “Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed” (V. 35)

For anyone to enjoy the presence of God, we must learn to be with Him, communicating our heart to Him (1 Samuel 1:15, 1 Peter 5:7). We must learn to share with Him in prayer. Yes, we must always approach Him with praises, but we must also not hide our feelings but share them in prayers.

The Bible told us that, Jesus was in the presence of God and was praying. That is why in our private time with God, we must not neglect our need in prayers. This is sharing our needs with Him (1 Peter 5:7). This is removing the burden of our heart  and putting them on Jesus. God made us to have needs because our needs will always push us to need God.

Whenever we separate ourselves to be in God’s presence, we must freely share our needs, because He will meet all those needs. He will give us answer of peace (Psalms 85:8). He will even show you things you do not know about your needs (Jeremiah 33:3). It will become clear to you, the reason for the needs and the way out of it. As a mature Christian, the secret place with God should be a priority. You should not play with it, because the presence of God is your greatest blessing. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, teach me to always have my best time in your presence
