  MEDIATING Hebrews 8:1-13 Devotional:- “But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises” (V. 6) NKJV In the Old Testament, the human priest used to stand in the gap between God and man. But because they are also human and can also sin, their priesthood was not able to actually deliver the human race. This is the ministry Jesus is carrying out on behalf of the believers since His ascension to heaven.  This ministry was taken over by Jesus because He loves us. Though He is seated on the throne but sitting closely to the Father to advocate for us. A mediator is someone who stands in the gap between the benefactor and the beneficiary. He is the one who pleads our cause to God. He is the one who intercedes for us before the Father. That is why we can be certain of our faith in God through Christ Jesus. Devotional Verse – V. 18

Our God is a God who can reverse famine season to a season of abundant. That is why you must not give up your faith in His ability to prosper you. What look expensive can become so surplus in your life. God can make what is unavoidable to become cheep for you. He can turn the situation around for you and bless you to be able to afford what you can’t imagine that you can access. 

The city of Samaria was in a time of famine because the enemy besiege her. Whatever fenced your blessing away from you shall be destroyed in Jesus name. So, the people of God could not go to farm either to plant or to harvest. It got so terrible that women were killing their children for food. But God spoke through the man of God that the situation will change the following morning. This look unbelievable but it was so. 

Friend, I decree that your situation will change for good in Jesus name. Don’t doubt God. He is bigger than all mountain. His word is powerful (Hebrews 4:12). His word has the ability to come to pass. He always watch over His word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12). Don’t give up your faith in God. If Abraham could believe Him for that long, please believe Him (Romans 4:18-20). Before the close of this year God will turn your story around for greatness in Jesus name. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, help me to believe you for my prosperity

The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
