  AUTHORITY Luke 10:5-20  Devotional:- “Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you” (v. 19) NLT One of the most sought after instrument in this world is authority. In the social setting of the world, when people have acquire some things of life, they then begin to go for authority. But because Jesus came from above, he made available to every believer by the reason of His love what is called true authority. Authority is the power or right to enforce obedience. In the world here people cannot enjoy absolute authority. They can only enjoy delegated authority. But do you know that we have greater authority? And we can grow in this authority to become greater and greater by the level of our faith. We can possess total authority over the enemy the moment we are in tune with God and don’t mingle with sin. Devotional Verse – V. 18

Our God is a God who can reverse famine season to a season of abundant. That is why you must not give up your faith in His ability to prosper you. What look expensive can become so surplus in your life. God can make what is unavoidable to become cheep for you. He can turn the situation around for you and bless you to be able to afford what you can’t imagine that you can access. 

The city of Samaria was in a time of famine because the enemy besiege her. Whatever fenced your blessing away from you shall be destroyed in Jesus name. So, the people of God could not go to farm either to plant or to harvest. It got so terrible that women were killing their children for food. But God spoke through the man of God that the situation will change the following morning. This look unbelievable but it was so. 

Friend, I decree that your situation will change for good in Jesus name. Don’t doubt God. He is bigger than all mountain. His word is powerful (Hebrews 4:12). His word has the ability to come to pass. He always watch over His word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12). Don’t give up your faith in God. If Abraham could believe Him for that long, please believe Him (Romans 4:18-20). Before the close of this year God will turn your story around for greatness in Jesus name. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, help me to believe you for my prosperity

The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
