ASK Matthew 7:7-12  Devotional:- “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” (V.11) NKJV For us to be able to enjoy the love of God as believers, we must begin to ask God for our needs. It is the principle of God that you will only have what you ask (Matthew 7:7). If you don’t speak out to ask, you may not be given. This was the problem of the senior brother of the prodigal son (Luke 15:29-32). Everything is for Him, but he had never asked for any. But the younger brother knew how to ask You must also learn how to ask. This is because you will only enjoy what you asked for. We therefore need to learn how to ask. The word ‘ask’ is not the same as beg or loan. The word asks suggests confidence and courage. It means to demand for what you are due for. It means to ask for your rights and your entitlements in God (Galatians 3:13-14). The bible is a book of covenant ...

IMAGINE HIS PRESENCE

CourageToLead.comScripture Reading: Psalms 16:1-11
Devotional: “I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved” (V. 8)
It is important for you to know that your imagination is an instrument of the Spirit. Imagination is simply image formation. It is a mental image formation, but when you are connected with the Holy Spirit, you can see deep things through it. With imagination, you can be in your room from your office. This same way, you can be in the presence of God by imagination.
King David said, “I have set the Lord always before me because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved”. This is by His ability to imagine that the Lord is with him. To be in the presence of God, learn to imagine the presence of God with you. If your imagination will not be taken over often by the devil, then learn to imagine the word of God. Turn scripture to picture. Your imagination of the word of God helps you perceive the things of the spirit. What you see in your imagination will be real to you.
He said, He will be with you, so, imagine Him there. How? The word of God describes the throne of God with light and lightening (Revelation 4:1-6). God is called the father of light (James 1:17). No shadow on His throne. Moses’ description told us the throne of God was like consuming fire (Exodus 24:16-18). Imagine Him as the Bible says He is. See yourself in His presence before His throne. Then, your spirit can deeply begin to commune with God. Peace.
PRAYER: Lord, let me know your presence always.
