SUCCESS AND YOUR PURPOSE

SUCCESS YOUR PURPOSE 2 Timothy 4:1-8 Devotional:- “And now the prize awaits me-the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing” (V. 8) NLT When a person turns to the Lord, invite Jesus to his/her life, and surrender to Jesus as Lord and saviour, then he/she sincerely becomes a Christian. This is the state many in the church has not attained. Many struggle to surrender their lives to the Lord because they are afraid of failure, not able to trust God to give them success, and their love for the things of this world (1 John 2:15-17). When you sincerely surrender your life to Jesus Christ, your view of success cannot but change. Apostle Paul said, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful” (2 Timothy 4:7). WORRY

WORRY

Luke 12:22-31
Devotional:- “And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?” (v.25) NKJV

Another cheap way for the enemy to steal the joy of people on the earth is by making them worry about issues of life. For many, it is difficult to separate worrying from being thoughtful. It is often said by experts that, only a small percentage of men use their brains to solve their problems, and this means the rest take up anxiety and worry. So many people on earth are victims of worry.
The truth is that your life is not designed for sorrow. That is why sorrow brings pain to your system. It is alien to your nature. Worry is making a survey of your problems, magnifying your situation and bringing you to a pit of pity. This does no good to no one; it rather increases your fear and failure. It blocks your mind from thinking of a solution, but celebrates your downfall. It always disguises itself as a sincere thought about oneself, but fails to supply the solution. Worry and anxiety are opposite each other. Why not rather choose to meditate in the promises of God than worry.
When you worry, it is therefore a trick of the devil to bring you under fear, tension and a broken heart to break you down. It will subtract virtues from you and give you weaknesses. To overcome worry, learn to turn whatever is bigger than you to God (1 Peter 5:7). That is why He is there for you. Believe that He will help you and fulfil His promises concerning you. Turn rather to praises and joy, and your life will always be better, and your joy will be sustained.

Prayer: Lord, deliver me from the spirit of worry.
