THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. PROMISES OF JOY

PROMISES OF JOY
Isaiah 55:6-13
Devotional:- “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it” (v.11) NKJV

One thing that is common with lovers is promises. It is part of what a true lover will want to hear. To a true lover, a promise is like a cheque left that can be turned into cash. So when people who loves us give us promises, we cherish them. And when we remember them, it gladdens our hearts. We often feel happy enough to share it with other friends.

One terrible thing that is common with men is failed promises. These, in some cases, are due to the inadequacy of human strength or unforeseen circumstances that can overtake the promises and make man look like a deceiver.

But God is not like man. He will fulfil all that He has promised you. No matter what the case may be, His word will come to pass. Who will say that Sarah will bear a son to Abraham at 90 or that Abraham will at last have up to eight children (Genesis 25:1-2, 9). This is the act of God’s faithfulness.

Friend, whatever He has promised you in His word, hold on to it to the end, and it will surely come to pass (Isaiah 55:11). Stand on the word by faith. You will surely be blessed. See you at the top!

Prayer: Lord, help me to stand on your word till I see my miracle.

“GOD’S PROMISES CANNOT FAIL BECAUSE HIS WORD CREATES AS HE SAYS IT”
