SUCCESS AND YOUR PURPOSE

SUCCESS YOUR PURPOSE 2 Timothy 4:1-8 Devotional:- “And now the prize awaits me-the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing” (V. 8) NLT When a person turns to the Lord, invite Jesus to his/her life, and surrender to Jesus as Lord and saviour, then he/she sincerely becomes a Christian. This is the state many in the church has not attained. Many struggle to surrender their lives to the Lord because they are afraid of failure, not able to trust God to give them success, and their love for the things of this world (1 John 2:15-17). When you sincerely surrender your life to Jesus Christ, your view of success cannot but change. Apostle Paul said, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful” (2 Timothy 4:7). THE PAST

THE PAST

Isaiah 43:8-21
Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV

God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future.
As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy.
The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. God is starting a brand-new thing with you. He is giving you new experiences of success and breakthrough. You need to learn to see yourself in a new way. See a new you that can always make it and succeed. See a new you with God’s presence, and that cannot fail. This is called Hope and faith.
God’s word says there shall be water in the desert and closed doors shall be opened. When a man succeeds in what he does, he can always have faith to succeed again. I see a new you emerging. Have a new expectation. Take a new faith in your God, and you will have new success, and your glory will be sustained.

Prayer: Lord, deliver me from hurts of my past.
“IF YOU CAN’T LET GO OF THE PAST, THEN YOU CAN’T GET HOLD OF THE FUTURE”
