HOURS OF PRAYER  Acts 3:1-10 Devotional:- “Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour” (V.1) NKJV   🎙 Victory Daily Devotional HOUSE OF PRAYER Support Us Acts 3:1-10 Remi Agbabiaka Outreach Ministry (RAOM)  |  victorydaily.blogspot.com Most people only pray or want to pray when they are faced with challenges. But for growing children of God. Prayer is not just making a demand. It is also creating time to be with our father. Much more than our request, God wants us around Him. He wants us always to speak and commune with Him.   Observing the scripture, you will discover prayer has been the habit of all men of God, including Jesus Christ (Luke 6:12). Jesus spent many of his nights praying and the days working. And when He was teaching the disciples, He said, “Pray lest you fall into temptatio...

DELAY

DELAY

Proverbs 13:10-20
Devotional:- “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life” (v.12) NKJV

Another strong factor militating against the joy of some people today is delay. This is an experience of expectation proving longer in coming than expected. It makes a man afraid or uncertain of what the future holds. It often weakens the faith of people and makes them feel disappointed.
The word of God in our scripture today says it brings weariness to the soul. We must realise that weariness given by delay is a hindrance to our receiving from God. The more we allow weariness, the more we may be delayed. It is a trick of the enemy to keep postponing our miracles. That is why the word of God says the just shall live by faith (Romans 1:17). It is also a threat to our joy. The enemy knows that joy produces our physical, mental and spiritual strength, so he always want us to celebrate sorrow (Nehemiah 8:10).
Friend, you must therefore be wise to know how to handle delay. Get to know that it is sometimes part of godliness to wait for our miracles (Hebrews 6:12, Job 14:14). It is actually maturity to be patient (Romans 5:1-5) and when you notice a prolong expectation then take it up in prayer but this must be in joy and faith not weariness (Isaiah 12:3). Be a man of faith no matter the length of time. Refuse to stagger (Romans 4:19-22) and God will show up at the appointed time to surprise you. Peace.

Prayer: Lord, give me grace to always be strong in faith.
“HE THAT WILL NOT WAIT WILL WASTE”
