THE HEART OF WORSHIP

THE HEART OF WORSHIP Romans 6:1-14 Devotional:- “And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God” (V. 13) Since worship is our first purpose on earth we need to know that worship will not be worship if we don’t surrender to God. So, surrendering is the heart of worship. In our world today, surrender sound negative. It could mean to give up or losing or admit your defeat. But it is giving ourselves to God not out of fear or necessity but in love (1 John 4:9-19). Three things often attempt to block our mind from total surrendering to God, fear, pride and confusion. As kingdom citizen, please know it that you must learn to trust God. A woman will not be able to surrender to her husband if she does not trust him and so also you to God. To truly surrender to God, you must admit your weaknesses and limitations. That is when you truly want to ask ...

FEAR OF GOD

FEAR OF GOD

Genesis 39:7-16
Devotional:- “There is no one greater in this house than I, nor has he kept back anything from me but you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” (v.9) NKJV

Wherever the Holy Spirit is, He has seven major dimensions by which he manifests if He is allowed. One of the dimensions is putting in the believer the Spirit of the fear of God. This is not a fear of God because He is wicked but because we know His greatness, love, and we love Him. Do you know that because a man loves his wife, he will not always like to do what offends her except for correction, which is even to be done in love? So also believers operate in the fear of God because he loves the Lord (John 14:23). If you see a believer rising and falling, it is because the fear of God is not in place. It is because the Spirit of God is not allowed to operate in his/her life.

As for you, I know you will not hinder the Holy Spirit from working in you. Solomon described the fear of God as the first step to wisdom (Proverbs 9:10). This is because whatever is against God’s will, will not stand (Proverbs 21:30). People could think that stealing is gaining, but the truth is that such will attract the destruction of God (Proverbs 13:11). That is why you must activate God’s Spirit in you by asking in prayers.

If Joseph had slept with that woman, do you know that the woman could rent a duplex for him outside, to continue the relationship and to keep it from the husband? Then Joseph would not have been in prison nor have found the man who introduced him to the palace (Genesis 39-40) Watch out! Don’t think it is smart to continue in sin (Romans 6:1). You need to activate the Spirit of the fear of the Lord in you. And you shall be able to get to your place in Jesus name.

PRAYER: LORD, LET THE SPIRIT OF THE FEAR OF THE LORD BE AT WORK IN MY LIFE.

“THE FEAR OF GOD IS THE FOUNDATION TO ALL LASTING RISING”
