THE HEART OF WORSHIP

THE HEART OF WORSHIP Romans 6:1-14 Devotional:- “And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God” (V. 13) Since worship is our first purpose on earth we need to know that worship will not be worship if we don’t surrender to God. So, surrendering is the heart of worship. In our world today, surrender sound negative. It could mean to give up or losing or admit your defeat. But it is giving ourselves to God not out of fear or necessity but in love (1 John 4:9-19). Three things often attempt to block our mind from total surrendering to God, fear, pride and confusion. As kingdom citizen, please know it that you must learn to trust God. A woman will not be able to surrender to her husband if she does not trust him and so also you to God. To truly surrender to God, you must admit your weaknesses and limitations. That is when you truly want to ask ...

BEING FORGIVEN

BEING FORGIVEN

1 John 1:5-10
Devotional:- “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (v. 9) NKJV.

One of the strongest weapons of the enemy against human confidence is condemnation and fear. And these are products of the feelings of not being forgiven. Nothing weakens the human conscience like guilt (Proverbs 28:1). No matter how strong a man is, a guilty conscience will make him a vegetable in the face of his enemies. He will always submit to the enemy. He/she will always look down on himself/herself.

I would like to let you know that a new man and woman in Christ have a heritage of forgiveness in Christ Jesus. Don’t let anyone break your confidence or destroy your emotions. I once counselled a sister who kept growing skinny daily because she was told that God could never forgive her again. See, God is not a man. This is the reason Jesus died on the cross. He shed His precious blood for the remission of our sins (Hebrews 9:22).

Anytime we sin, we should repent and confess our sins to God. We should ask for our cleansing by the blood (Hebrews 9:21; 1 John 1:9). God’s word says we shall be immediately forgiven, and clean by the precious blood of Jesus. This is not a liberty for sin but the license to our liberty in Christ Jesus. See, your God is not like men. Have you confessed those sins to God? Please genuinely repent of them. And now you are forgiven. Jump up in joy as a person forgiven. Jesus gave the parable of the prodigal son to teach us the attitude of God toward us as a forgiving father (Luke 15:11-24). Jesus demonstrated this on the cross (Luke 23:34). Don’t be tied down in the unforgiven. Since you repent and ask for forgiveness, you are free. See, to God, there is no bigger sin, sin is sin. It is men who rate sins. If the thief on the cross could find forgiveness, please find yours.

PRAYER: LORD, I THANK YOU THAT YOU FORGIVE ME; HELP ME TO LIVE FOR YOU FOREVER.
