THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. YOUR SOUL

YOUR SOUL

Mark 8:34-38
Devotional:- “Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” (V. 37) NKJV

Your soul is actually your being. It is the man in you. It is your soul that will stand the judgement of God at the end of life. Your soul is the immaterial part of your life. It is your soul that really drives your life to all you have been doing and will do. It has three compartment. The intellect, the will and the emotion or action drive. Everything you do in this world passes through three compartments of your soul. That is why you are responsible for all your actions. They all pass through processes.

The word of God says “what shall profit a man to loss his soul to the devil in eternity?” Today, many are selling their souls to the devil. The worst of it all is that 90% of the so call Christians has not sold their soul to anyone. They neither sold it to God nor the devil. They have not taken any conscious step to do this.

Friend, I want to encourage you to give your soul to Jesus. Let Him be the owner and controller of your soul. That way, you will not lose it (Mark 8:36). If your soul is for Jesus, then you will not follow any other but Christ (Matthew 7:21-23). Take time to decide today who will be the owner of your soul. Do this not in words alone but indeed. If all you do are not being controlled by the Lord, then Jesus is not your Lord. Watch out. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to totally surrender my soul unto you.

“WHOEVER YOU OBEY IS THE CONTROLLER OF YOUR SOUL”
