THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. SANCTIFICATION

SANCTIFICATION

2 Corinthians 6:11-18
Dev. “Therefore "Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you."” (V. 17)

The act of sanctification is what each believer must seriously consider. Until a man is sanctify unto the Lord, he cannot belong to God. He cannot always obey the Lord. Such will always do whatever he/she likes, since it is their life.

The word sanctification means a conscious separation of one’s entire life unto God (Jeremiah 1:5). This is not a child's play but a conscious decision to separate one's life to Christ. To be sanctified unto the Lord is to submit your spirit, soul and body unto God. It is to willingly make Jesus your Lord and the controller of your life (Romans 12:1).

Doing this demand total consciousness. Just like it is a conscious thing for a woman to be married to a man and this consciousness is reflecting through her life, so also a sanctified believer (Isaiah 54:5). That is how you will be able to go everywhere with the consciousness of your sanctification. By this you can no longer disobey your Lord (Matthew 7:21-23). You can no longer live as you like or do what the world is doing. Your culture become the culture of the Lord. If Jesus is your Lord your personal desires will always be put aside to obey the Lord (Matthew 26:39). If you are not always conscious of your sanctification vow, then you are not separate into Him and for Him. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, sanctify me by your word and accept me as a kingdom citizen for ever.

“IF YOU HAVE NOT CONSCIOUSLY SEPARATE YOURSELF THEN YOU ARE NOT”
