ACKNOWLEDGING HIM

ACKNOWLEDGING HIM Proverbs 3:1-8  Devotional:- “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” (v.6) KJV. To be able to enjoy God’s loving kindness, all of us must learn to always acknowledge God in all our decision-making. This simply means that we recognise Him as our owner and the one who is qualified to instruct us on where to turn. When we gave our lives to Christ, we all confessed Jesus as our Lord. This means we acknowledge Him as the one who has the final decision over our lives. But we often forget to carry Him along in making decisions that will, in the end, have a great adverse effect on our lives. If we are to enjoy the love and the goodness of the Lord, we must learn to acknowledge Him. And this is by patiently asking Him for His instructions for us. The truth is that He will always guide us. He said, “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye” (Psalms 32:8). The truth is that you are gu...

A STEWARD

A STEWARD

Colossians 1:24-29
Devotional verse: “of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God which was given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God,” (v. 25)

God want us to know that we are stewards in this world. Understanding this will make us walk rightly with God in this evil world. A major reason children of God don't live to please Him in all things is because they do not know that they are stewards.

It's important we come to know that all that is in this world belong to the Lord (Psalm 24:1). He made all things and own all things (John 1:3, Genesis. 1:1). He made both man and beast, both plants, water and even the rock. All He has done was to put man in charge of what He has made (Genesis 1:26-31). That is why both man and all that are in this world therefore belong to God.

As stewards we are put in charge to manage the affairs of this world for God. That is why it is expected of us to be faithful to God. A Steward is the one that is put incharge of another man’s property. All that we have still belong to Him (John 3:27, Matthew 25:14). That Is why God will not give us more than we can handle per time (Matthew 25:15). We should therefore keep it in mind that we shall give account of our stewardship one day before God (2 Corinthians 5:10). It is faithfulness in effective use of what he allow us to handle that leads to having more (Luke 16:10-12). That is why we must use all He gives to us, fearfully and diligently according to His instructions. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, give me clear understanding of my stewardship with you.
