CHOICE OF JOY Acts 16:20-30 Devotional:- “But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.” (V.25) NKJV So many people in this world have not woken up to the fact that the way they live is their choice. One of the greatest errors is to think that the situation a man finds himself, is the determining factor of his life. This is not true. Please come to an awareness of this truth from now on: that you are living as you have chosen to live. Get to know that you are a creature of choice. Whatever your choice is, that is your lot. God chooses no evil for anyone in life (Jeremiah 29:11). Whether you are happy or not, whether you are rich or not, whether you are healthy or not, it is your choice; if you decide otherwise from now and stand by your decision, things will change for you. YOUR MOUTH

YOUR MOUTH

Matthew 12:33-37
Devotional: “But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. (V. 36) NKJV

One of the good gift God has given us is the ability to express ourselves through the mouth. This is a major way to communicate our mind to each other in the world. Our words are direct products of our heart (Matthew 12:34). When the soul of people are sold to the Lord, it will sooner or later reflect in their words. That is why the bible says “we shall give account of all the idle words we are speaking. The one in the secret or in the open (Matthew 10:26)

The scripture says “our mouth should be seasoned with salt (Colossians 4:6). That is, our words should be always be with grace so that people can be rightly answered. If our mouth will be with grace and seasoned with salt, then it has to start from our soul. Information is always processed in our soul and expressed through our mouth.

That is why it is important that we load out heart with the word of God (Colossians 3:16). The word of God should be our meditation all the time. If we can do this, then our mouth will always speak the righteous words of God. (Matthew 12:34).

Friend, let us mind our words and our life shall reflect God’s glory.

PRAYER: Lord, deliver me from idle words
