Human, by nature, doesn’t often want to be blamed but always likes to blame others or circumstances of their shortcomings. But I would like you to realise the terrible effect of the blame game in your life.   In the scripture we read today, Adam and Eve were simply playing the blame game. YOUR MOUTH

YOUR MOUTH

Matthew 12:33-37
Devotional: “But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. (V. 36) NKJV

One of the good gift God has given us is the ability to express ourselves through the mouth. This is a major way to communicate our mind to each other in the world. Our words are direct products of our heart (Matthew 12:34). When the soul of people are sold to the Lord, it will sooner or later reflect in their words. That is why the bible says “we shall give account of all the idle words we are speaking. The one in the secret or in the open (Matthew 10:26)

The scripture says “our mouth should be seasoned with salt (Colossians 4:6). That is, our words should be always be with grace so that people can be rightly answered. If our mouth will be with grace and seasoned with salt, then it has to start from our soul. Information is always processed in our soul and expressed through our mouth.

That is why it is important that we load out heart with the word of God (Colossians 3:16). The word of God should be our meditation all the time. If we can do this, then our mouth will always speak the righteous words of God. (Matthew 12:34).

Friend, let us mind our words and our life shall reflect God’s glory.

PRAYER: Lord, deliver me from idle words

“OUR WORDS ARE DIRECT REFLECTION OF OUR HEART”
