  BECOMING LIKE CHRIST Romans 8:18-30 Devotional:- “For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His son, that He might be the first born among many brethren” (V. 29) The third purpose of your life is to become like Christ. From the very beginning God intend to make man to be like Himself (Gen 1:26). So like God, we are made a spirit and our spirit lives the body. We are intellectual, we can think and solve problems. We are relational, i.e. we can give and receive love. We also have a moral conscience to discern right from wrong which make us accountable to God. God’s ultimate goal for you on earth is not comfort but character. He wants you to grow up and become like Christ. This does not mean losing your personality. Christlikeness is all about transforming your character and not your personality. Every time you forget that character development is the reason you are here you frustrate yourself. YOUR STEPS

Psalm23:1-6
Devotional “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.”  (V. 1)

    You are responsible for your steps on earth. That is, where you go and what you do. All of these shall be brought to judgment and you will give account of them all. That is why as a child of God, we must mind our steps in life.

King David gave the testimony of how his steps become godly. This is because he made the Lord his shepherd. In other words, he always allows God to lead him in all his ways (Proverbs 3:5-6). The word of God also inform us that we can keep taking steps that pleases the Lord by meditating on the word of God (Psalm 119:9-11). God's word also inform us of the third factor that can make our ways pleasing to God and that is by the kind of association we keep (Psalm 1:1-3; Proverbs 13:20).

Friend, if your steps will always please the Lord, then those three factors are important. Those who takes those three factors negatively will always take negative steps and always be in the wrong places. You therefore need to watch your steps so as not to be in danger of judgement of Christ. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, be the guide of my life forever.

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
