A REWARDER

Image
A REWARDER   Hebrews 11:4-7. Devotional:- "For he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder, of those who diligently seek Him” (V.6)      Everyone involved in any kind of labor expects a reward. What motivates people into service or pursuit of life is the reward attached to it. It is embarrassing to see that most people labor for no reward, or rather their rewards don't often measure up to their service or input. This is the reason for frustration in the lives of many in the world today.

YOUR REWARD

Image
YOUR REWARD 1 Corinthians 3:5-17 Devotional:- "Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor.” V8      The word of God says, to every labour there is a reward (Proverbs 14:23). If men could be wise enough to know they need to reward labour, how much more God. Everyone working as representing the kingdom of God on earth can not but be rewarded (2 Corinthians 5:20). So, brace up as you serve the Lord.

SECOND COMING

Image
SECOND COMING Thessalonians 2:1-11 Devotional:- “not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come” (V. 2)      Concerning the coming of the Lord, each one consecrated unto the Lord should not be ignorance. Everyone who truly belong to Christ at this time should be prepared. The coming of Jesus should not catch us unaware but we all should be ready. To before warn is to before arm. Many people today are not really clear of how they should prepare for the coming of the Lord.

TAKE YOUR CROSS AND FOLLOW

Image
TAKE YOUR CROSS AND FOLLOW Luke 9:21-27 Devotional:- “Then He said to them all, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me” (V23)      No one can end up his/her journey in heaven with Jesus except he/she is ready to follow Jesus with the cross. Jesus, been our perfect example in God carries His cross a long distance to the place of crucifixion. It was a painful experience of His life. So we must all do the same. This time not to the mountain of Crucifixion but of glorification.

TRIAL TIMES

Image
TRIAL TIMES James 1:12-20 Dev:- “So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath” (V. 19)      There is a need to learn from the word of God what to do to manage the trial times. God expect us to use our trial times to grow and overcome but not to be a victim. If you will come out victoriously after a trail times then let us learn the wisdom thought in the word of God.

WINNING SOULS

Image
WINNING SOULS JOHN 4:27-41 Devotional:-“I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors" (V. 38)      A major factor of reward in eternity is Soul Winning. That is why a true son and daughter of God must work towards winning soul daily (Proverbs 11:30). Each of us must take it up as a job but as obedience to instruction, it is our assignment or mission on earth. It is the reason we are kept here. We are here to represent Jesus in winning souls.

LOOKING UNTO JESUS

Image
LOOKING UNTO JESUS Hebrews 12:1-8 Dev:- looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (V. 2)      As a people consecrated to the Lord, we must learn to look only unto Jesus. Due to the hard situations of the perilous times that we are, so many people have turned begging, tricking people to get money, making excessive profits, loading contracts or cost of supply and the like. So many ungodly profit is going on today.

HOSPITALITY

Image
HOSPITALITY  Matthew 25:31-46 Devotional:- “And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me” (v40)      Each one who want to be rewarded in eternity with God should know that a major factor of our score with God is hospitality. This is the act of taking care of the poor and the strangers. This is taking care of people outside our immediate family. These are majorly people who are servants of God or the less privileged.

FAITHFULNESS

Image
FAITHFULNESS  Matthew 25:14-30 Devotional:- “His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord” (v. 21)      Everyone who intend to journey to eternity with Jesus must learn the habit of faithfulness. To be faithful is to be straight and plain in our dealing with what is committed to our hands before the Lord. To be faithful is to obey the Lord in carrying out our assignments as the Lord has commanded us.

MEASURING WITH JESUS

Image
MEASURING WITH JESUS Psalm 69:29-36 Devotional:- This also shall please the LORD better than an ox or bull, Which has horns and hooves. (v. 31)      Everyone who want to live a consecrated life unto the Lord must always measure their action with that of Jesus. They must always ask the question, will Jesus be pleased with this? The life of Jesus is the measuring example for all believer and we must use it to measure our decisions and our actions

RESISTING

Image
RESISTING 1 Peter 5:5-11 Dev:- “Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world” (V. 9)      Every action will always command reaction. That is why a child of God is known by his ability to stand and resist the activities of the devil around his life. That you have a reaction is normal but to submit to reactions is a sign of weaknesses. No one has the right to stop the will of God in your life.

INSISTING

Image
INSISTING Matthew 11:7-15 Devotional:- “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force” (V. 12)      Each one who is consecrated tone Lord, must live to insist of the will of God for their lives. The three Hebrews determines to go through the fire even if God will not save them (Daniel 3:17-18). Esther insisted in seeing the king even if it’s against the law (Esther 4:16). This is the life style of the kingdom citizen. They don’t compromise the will of God.

ENERGY OF LIFE

Image
ENERGY OF LIFE Deuteronomy 8:1-10 Devotional:- “So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord” (V. 3)      We all need to understand what the energy of life is. We all desire to pursue and achieve some things in life. But it is important that we realize that the car that is running around is doing that on an energy supplied. Every moving equipment does that, by depending on one source of the energy or the other.

LED BY HIM

Image
LED BY HIM Proverbs 3:1-10 Devotional:- “In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths” (v. 6)      The word of God says as many as are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God (Romans 8:14). The word of God says the steps of the upright are guided by the Lord (Psalm 37:23). If a man is not been led by the Lord, then, he will be led by his own limited mind, influenced by the flesh. That is why everyone who have consecrated themselves to the Lord should wait to always be led by the Lord.

WALKING WITH GOD

Image
WALKING WITH GOD Genesis 5:12-24 Devotional:- “And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him” (V. 24)      No one will reign with Christ until he or she starts to walk with the Lord. God want people to walk with Him (Genesis 17:1). When people don’t walk with God, they walk with another spirit consciously or unconsciously. When you cultivate the habit of walking with God, you will be able to be like Him and serve Him faithfully. It is then, we can fulfill our destiny.

ENDURING TRIBULATIONS

Image
ENDURING TRIBULATIONS  2 Thessalonians 1:1-11 Dev:- “so that we ourselves boast of you among the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that you endure” (V. 4)      Everyone who has chosen to be citizen of the kingdom of God must be ready to face tribulations. This is because the kingdom of God is a kingdom of light and the kingdom of darkness is always looking for a way to stop the activities of the kingdom of God.

HEAVENLY FOCUS

Image
HEAVENLY FOCUS Colossians 3:1-11 Devotional:- “Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth” (V. 2      It is important that all children of God should set their mind on things above. The Holy Spirit is from heaven (Acts 2:1-4). Jesus Christ our redeemer came from above (John 8:23). That is why our focus should be heaven. If our focus is heaven, then all we are doing should be of eternal value. The word of God says, where your treasure is, that is where your heart shall be (Matthew 6:21)

GODLY CONTENTMENT

Image
GODLY CONTENTMENT 1Timothy 6:3-10 Devotional:- “Now godliness with contentment is great gain” (v. 6)        A virus that can corrupt the right Spirit in a man is greed. This is an intense and selfish desire for wealth or food. This virus is a product of people thinking that they are lacking and money is all they need to succeed. People needs to be told that even when they get money, without sitting down to plan and labour there will be no success. So the idea of “money is all you need” is not true. There is no amount of money that cannot finish but true success create succession

SERVING THE LORD

Image
SERVING THE LORD Exodus 23:20-29 Dev:- "So you shall serve the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you. (Vs. 25)      To consecrate our life to God as citizens of the kingdom of God we must serve the Lord. It is important we understand that God created us that we might serve Him. We are here to fulfill the agenda of heaven. But a lot of people are affected by the deceitfulness of money and pleasure of this world and do not bother to serve God (Mark 4:19)

TRUST IN THE LORD

Image
TRUST IN THE LORD Psalm 115:9-18 Devotional:- “O Israel, trust in the LORD; He is their help and their shield” (v. 9)      To consecrate our lives to God, we must totally put our trust in the Lord. This will make us to depend on Him in all things. To trust in the  Lord means to commit your life into the hand of the Lord. It is to depend on the faithfulness of the Lord, notwithstanding the situation one may be passing through. It is to refuse to doubt the ability of God and to wait on His faithfulness.

HOPE IN GOD

Image
HOPE IN GOD Psalm 131:1-3 Devotional:- “O Israel, hope in the LORD From this time forth and forever” (v. 3)      As a Christian, consecrated unto the Lord, it is important we put our total hope in God. The situation around us or the experiences we passed through sometimes attempt to make us to put our hope in other things. That is why you must totally commit yourself unto God and disallow your hope in the Lord from been distracted.

LIFE OF JOY

Image
LIFE OF JOY   JAMES 1:1-8 Dev:- “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials” (Vs. 2)      People who are consecrated unto the Lord must choose a life of joy. This is because God cannot dwell in a heart full of sorrow. Where God will be, joy must be there (Psalms 16:11). So, to live in joy is to live with the presence of God.

LIVING BY FAITH

Image
LIVING BY FAITH  Romans 1:16-28 Dev:-  For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "The just shall live by faith" (Vs. 17)      Consecration to the Lord demands that we learn to live by faith. This is because the God of this kingdom is a Spirit and it will demand faith to walk with Him (John 4:24). To live by faith is more disturbing to a natural mind who wants to live by what he/she sees. God’s word says we do not live by sight but by faith (2 Corinthians 5:7).

LOVING OTHERS

Image
LOVING OTHERS 1 John 4:7-16 Dev:- “No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us” (V.12)      The Bible is so specific about how we should treat our neighbors. God’s word told us to love them as we love ourselves. This may sound so easy, but not quite. It’s important we know that what our neighbors are saying about us cannot be far from the truth. That is why our Christian life should first be experienced by our neighbors.

LOVING THE LORD

Image
LOVING THE LORD  Deuteronomy 6:1-9 Dev :-  “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength” (v. 5)   The subject of loving the Lord is almost the deepest one for a true son/ daughter of God. This is because loving the Lord takes more than just a confession or a song. It is an act of taking responsibility to live in conformity with the Lord. People who don't love the Lord will surely share their love somewhere else and there is no one who can love God in vain.

FEAR THE LORD

Image
FEAR THE LORD  Psalm 19:7-14 Dev:- “The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether” (V. 9)      All who are consecrated to the Lord should live all their live in the fear of the Lord. Don’t ever think you belong to the Lord when you will do what you like with your life. A man who is consecrated to the Lord is join together with the Lord just like in marriage. So he can no longer do whatever he likes but what his Lord wants (Galatians 2:20).

OBEDIENCE

Image
OBEDIENCE Genesis 26:1-6 Devotional:- “because Abraham obeyed My voice and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My laws” (V. 5)      It is going to be difficult to live a consecrated life without willingness and readiness to always obey the Lord. Many times we struggle with this reality. Most Christian sees obedience to God as what they do when they like to do that. Many don't want to be too close to the side of the Lord, so that they can still do things the way they want to do them. You need to know that when you are not full with God, you are fully with the world ruled by the devil (Revelation 3:15-16)

SACRIFICIAL LIFE

Image
SACRIFICIAL LIFE Romans 12:1-5  Dev:- “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service” (v. 1)      For us to be consecrated to the Lord we must live a sacrificial life. A sacrificial life is a life that is offered unto God as a sacrifice. This is a life that is completely given to the Lord. It is a life that is completely handed over to God and no longer belong to you.

JUSTIFICATION

Image
JUSTIFICATION Romans 2:1-15 Dev:- for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified; (v.13)      Every kingdom citizen must seek to be justified before the Lord. To be justified is to be made right before God. It is only those who are made right with God that can be right before God. If anyone is not right before God, he/she cannot see God. This is the important of justification.

HOLINESS

Image
HOLINESS  1 Pet. 1:13-21  Dev:- “but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct” (vs. 15 )        If we want to make it to eternity with God it is expected of us to be holy. This is because heaven is a holy place and nothing unholy will ever enter the place (Ephesians 5:5). That is why each one who desires to make it to heaven must set themselves aside in holiness unto the Lord.

SANCTIFICATION

Image
SANCTIFICATION  2 Chronicles 29:3-19 Dev:- And they gathered their brethren, sanctified themselves, and went according to the commandment of the king, at the words of the LORD, to cleanse the house of the LORD. (v.15)      It is very important as we wait for the coming of Jesus that we sanctify ourselves unto God. To sanctify oneself is to decide to separate oneself unto God. The word sanctification means separation. Many people follows the Lord but not many are separated unto Him. To sanctify yourself unto God is to consciously see yourself as belonging to the Lord.

CHOOSE GOD

Image
CHOOSE GOD Ruth 1:6-18 Devotional- “But Ruth said: Entreat me not to leave you, Or to turn back from following after you; For wherever you go, I will go;And wherever you lodge, I will lodge; Your people shall be my people, And your God, my God” (v. 16 )        As God's kingdom Citizens we must be consecrated on to God. To be consecrated onto God is to dedicate oneself to God with a covenant. For us to be able to achieve this we must consciously choose God as our God. This must be done with understanding and with the whole of our heart. So many are aware that Jesus will soon return but not many are sure they belong to Christ (Matthew 7:21-22).
