HOW SERVANTS THINK

HOW SERVANTS THINK Numbers 14:11-25 Devotional:- “But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it” (V. 24).   To be a servant requires complete mental shift and change in attitude. Before God, attitude count more than achievement (2 Chronicles 25:2). So, when we look at how real servants think, they think more about others than themselves. Humility is not thinking less of ourselves but thinking of ourselves less (Philippians 2:4). Jesus takes the form of a servant (Philippians 2:7). We can measure our servant’s heart by how we respond when others treat us as servants. Real servants think like a steward and not owner. They keep in mind that God owns it all.  To become a real servant you’ve got to settle the issue of money in your life (Luke 16:13). Please understand that money has a great potential to replace God in our heart. When Jesus is your master...

BITTER TURNED SWEET

BITTER TURNED SWEET

Exodus 15:22-27
Devotional:- “So he cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet. There He made a statute and an ordinance for them, and there He tested them,” (V. 25) NKJV

Your God can turn what is bitter to be sweet. When you see or experience anything bitter, you will understand that it has an element of bitterness and that is the reason for your experience. Then, human wisdom will tell you that unless you eliminate the bitter element it cannot be sweet. But God can turn that which has been bitter to be sweet. You don't need to divorce your spouse or quit business. That bitter water can be turned sweet.

As the Israelites journeyed in the wilderness, apart from the fact that water was not always abundant in the desert, the only one available was bitter. The word bitter here could mean poisonous. When this came to the notice of Moses, he cried to God in prayers and God showed him a tree to be cut and dropped into the water. And the bitter water suddenly became sweet. It became pleasant and good.

God can do the same in your life. He can turn around your experience for glory. That tree is Jesus. When He steps in, bitterness will depart. That is why you have to start to take His Word more seriously in your life. Obedience to His instructions will deliver you from destruction. When you open up and allow His word to mold you change will immediately commence. That same house, business, or ministry can be sweet again. All you need to do is to allow Him to take total control. Let His word governs your affairs. Let His principles be your principles. Then, you are in for a sweet season. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, help me to submit to your rulership over my affairs.

“WHEN HE IS IN CONTROL, ALL THINGS WILL SUBMIT TO HIS WILL”
