Though some will complain that life is unfavorable to them, you should know that your case is different. That is why you should see opportunities everywhere and in all things. Our scriptures today taught us to be willing to let what we do go beyond our immediate environment. In other words, don't limit your market scope to where you are. In most cases, we don't often realise the fact that a product may not be appreciated enough in the environment of its producer. In m...

LOCATING A KING

LOCATING A KING

I Samuel 16:1-13
Devotional:- “Now the LORD said to Samuel, "How long will you mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? Fill your horn with oil, and go; I am sending you to Jesse the Bethlehemite. For I have provided Myself a king among his sons." (V. 1) NKJV

God is always in the business of locating rulers and kings. Since He is omnipresent and omniscient God sees all things and knows all things. He often prepares who will be the next ruler in every nation (Daniel 4:25). Not only does He locate and prepare, but He also appoints and enthrones. Nothing can be established without Him. He brings wicked rulers sometimes to discipline the people and righteous rulers sometimes to comfort the people.

When the Israelites were unnecessarily demanding for a king, He gave them king Saul who was not righteous before Him. Later, He brought David who was a man after God's heart and the best king of Israel.

You need to know that up till now God is seeking rulers over the nations. If you can comport yourself in loving the Lord and loving His people God can prepare and appoint you to be one soon. Stop living or doing things for money’s sake. Start to love to see change. Start to love to see your house, school, office, shop or the house of God get better. Be willing to pay the price of service. And God who sees will keep observing you. Soon, God will lift you and enthrone you for the salvation of the life of the people and His glory in your life. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, help me to love to serve for my lifting

DOMINION   Psalms 8:1-9 Devotional:- “You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet” (V. 6) NKJV      At creation, man was given dominion over all that God created. This office was at that time a terrifying one for other creatures and even the devil. (Psalms 8.6; Psalms 110:1-3). It was this office that the devil was after that he had to deceive man and steal. You will observe that man was the last creature of God (Genesis 1:26). Yet he was made to have dominion over all that existed before him. The devil saw this as partiality on the side of God. He did not know that though man was the last creation yet the finest. The man was finally created to be in charge of all creation.

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

WAYS ON WATER Exodus 14:10-22 Devotional:- “So the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.” (v. 22) NKJV      The enemy's trick in the lives of so many people today is to make them believe that they have come to their crossroads and that the road has ended. So many always agree with this deceptive thought, which leads to their frustrations. The enemy makes them look at situations around them as evidence of his words. So, many people easily agree with the devil and become victims of his deceit.
