FORGIVING YOURSELF

FORGIVING YOURSELF Luke 22:54-62  Devotional:- “So Peter went out and wept bitterly.bitterly.” (V.62) NKJV Before a man can begin to enjoy the expressive love of God in his life, he must learn the act of self-forgiveness. Self-condemnation is always a terrible permission for the devil to take over in the life of a believer. This can make him lose his self-worth in God’s presence. It can make a believer lose his authority in Christ. It can make a believer lose his joy and build an environment of sorrow. And you need to know that the environment of sorrow removes from you the presence of God. He only dwells where there is fullness of joy (Psalms 16:11). Unforgiveness can make a man build an atmosphere of fear and then permit the presence of demons. This also breeds discouragement and frustration and makes the life of its victim miserable. The wonderful thing in the scripture we read today is that, though Peter denied Christ publicly and committed a grievous sin, he did not let...

WISDOM TO GATHER

WISDOM TO GATHER

Genesis 41:46-57
Devotional:- “And Joseph gathered grain as the sand of the sea, very much, until he stopped counting for it could not be measured” (V. 49) AMPL

One of the great virtues that have eluded the life of many people on the earth is the inability to gather good fortune in life. This in turn produces poverty and an inability to achieve good and great things in life. Since many do not understand what is wrong with them, they then resort to looking for wealth through any means good or bad. But let me introduce you to a God who can teach you to profit and give you the power to gather good wealth.

Joseph was a young man exalted in the land of Egypt. During the time of his rulership in the land, God gave him wisdom to gather. And he was successful in the assignment given to him by the king. What wisdom is this? It is wisdom that comes as a virtue of God’s grace. He never saw any of the goods as belonging to him. So, he lives in faithfulness, integrity, loyalty and self-discipline. Not by power nor by might nor by any human ability.

When a life is submitted to God in obedience to His instructions, He guides and empowers to gather. It is therefore a product of knowing the will of God and doing it. It is a product of asking God what to do and doing it (Isaiah 1:19). Then He will be able to lead us into abundance that is more than our needs (Psalm 23:1). And we will need the grace to deny ourselves to start to set things aside no matter how little. Savings is not just a practice but an attitude. There are several ways to walk in this. You can enquire about this. Joseph started saving 20% of the land till he lost count. As soon as you take up this attitude you will have your gathering as the sand of the sea in Jesus name.

Prayer: Lord, teach my hand to gather.
