FORGIVING YOURSELF

FORGIVING YOURSELF Luke 22:54-62  Devotional:- “So Peter went out and wept bitterly.bitterly.” (V.62) NKJV Before a man can begin to enjoy the expressive love of God in his life, he must learn the act of self-forgiveness. Self-condemnation is always a terrible permission for the devil to take over in the life of a believer. This can make him lose his self-worth in God’s presence. It can make a believer lose his authority in Christ. It can make a believer lose his joy and build an environment of sorrow. And you need to know that the environment of sorrow removes from you the presence of God. He only dwells where there is fullness of joy (Psalms 16:11). Unforgiveness can make a man build an atmosphere of fear and then permit the presence of demons. This also breeds discouragement and frustration and makes the life of its victim miserable. The wonderful thing in the scripture we read today is that, though Peter denied Christ publicly and committed a grievous sin, he did not let...

THE ROCK

THE ROCK

Devotional:- “He is the rock, His work is perfect for all His way is justice a God of truth and without injustices; righteous and upright is He” (V. 4)

You need to know that the word of God calls our God the rock. Any time I have the privilege to be on a rock it is always a wonderful thing to behold. A rock is always great and strong. You can’t kick it or hit it. You will be doing yourself a great harm. It is always strong and mighty. It doesn’t shake nor move. It is very stable and balanced. I always desire to be on the rock.

You need to know that your God is the rock. Not just a rock else He will be one of the many rocks but the Rock. In other words, He is the only sure rock. Whoever kicks or hits Him is in trouble (Luke 20:18). When you stand on it you are safe. When you hide in it you are secure. This is what the Bible refers to as our stronghold and our secret place (Psalm 91:1). God is our secret place. When we are in Him, we are safe and secure (Proverbs 18:10).

Stop being afraid of your enemy, just remain in the rock, i.e., in God. Always be conscious that your life is hidden in Christ in God (Colossians 3:3). Their arrow can’t touch you there. At the touch of the rock, it will crumble. See God in your heart as the rock of your salvation (2Samuel 22:47). He is your sufficient security and assurance. Tell the enemy, he can no more touch you. Stop running about, stand strong in the rock. The rock cannot be moved nor shaken. All other forces are likened to sinking sand but your God is the Solid Rock.

Declaration: My life and my family are hiding in The Rock of Ages.
