HOW SERVANTS THINK

HOW SERVANTS THINK Numbers 14:11-25 Devotional:- “But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it” (V. 24).   To be a servant requires complete mental shift and change in attitude. Before God, attitude count more than achievement (2 Chronicles 25:2). So, when we look at how real servants think, they think more about others than themselves. Humility is not thinking less of ourselves but thinking of ourselves less (Philippians 2:4). Jesus takes the form of a servant (Philippians 2:7). We can measure our servant’s heart by how we respond when others treat us as servants. Real servants think like a steward and not owner. They keep in mind that God owns it all.  To become a real servant you’ve got to settle the issue of money in your life (Luke 16:13). Please understand that money has a great potential to replace God in our heart. When Jesus is your master...

MERCIFUL

MERCIFUL

Lamentation 3:21-33
Devotional:- “It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed because his compassions fail not.” (V. 22)

Very many people in the world have been made to view God as wicked through the partial information they are fed. God is a just God who does not overlook sin. That is why He gave His son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins. So that through the death of Jesus Christ, we can find mercy before Him.

But the bible refers to God as being merciful. He keeps His mercy for millions and forgives iniquities (Exodus 34:7). He is indeed a jealous God who visits iniquity on generations. But the Bible says He will show mercy unto thousands of them that love Him (Deuteronomy 5:9-10). Even if anyone belongs to a cursed family, he only needs to give his life to Christ and start to obey God’s commandments. God’s mercy will prevail over him (John 14:23).

Friend, stop moving about with a cursed mentality. God’s mercy is enough for you. He will not be angry forever. His mercies are new every morning. It means each day brings new opportunities for a new mercy in God. It means your ugly yesterday can be forgiven and forgotten by God today. If you will accept this truth, it will be enough to set you free (Lamentation 3:21-33). There is no sin too great for God to forgive. Always run to God for mercy. He will have mercy and help you (Hebrews 4:15-16). If anyone turns from His evil way and be obedient unto God, He will have mercy on him for He is a God of mercy.

Prayer: Lord, visit my life with your mercy today

“ACCEPTING GOD’S MERCY WILL DELIVER YOU FROM YOUR MESS AND DEPRESSION”
