  PROMISES Isaiah 55:1-13  Devotional:- “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it” (V.11) NKJV One thing that is common with lovers are promises. It is part of what a true lover will want to hear. To a true lover, a promise is like a cheque capable of turning into cash. So when people who love us promise us, we cherish the promises. And when we remember them, it gladdens our heart. We even sometime feel happy enough to share it with other friends. One other terrible thing that is common with people is failing to fulfill promises. That is why it will be unwise to marry someone based on mare promises. These failure in promises of people, in some cases, are due to the inadequacy of human strength, or unforeseen circumstances that can overtake the promises, so the promised often feel deceived. THE LIVING GOD

THE LIVING GOD 

Devotional:- “As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father so he who feeds on me will live because of me” (v.57)

    God is the author of life, so, He is the living God. He is the one that gave the breath of life to the first man and life came into him (Genesis 2:7), All other gods may be lifeless but God is the living God. Very many heroes and prophets that men worship started living at a time and now have died and are no longer alive. But God is the eternal life. Even though Jesus had to die for our sins, the grave cannot retain Him for in Him is life and that is why He could resurrect.

Jesus was sharing in our scriptures today and telling the people of the need to feed on Him to gain the life of God. But they could not understand. To feed on Him Is to partake of the communion table, which is a figurative representative of His body and His blood. To feed on Him is to meditate on His word daily (Deuteronomy 8:3). Jesus says, that as we partake of this, the same life of God in Him begins to transfer to us. Since He is life, feeding on Him makes us have the life of God in us (John 6:53). It is the reason why as believers we have eternal life in us. That is why as a child of God, you must always partake of the communion table. You must always meditate on the word of God (John 6:63). And you will be able to retain His life in you. Refuse to give in to death in any area of your life, for He that is in you is the author of life.

Prayer: Lord, let your life be transferred into me daily.

“LIFE IS TRANSFERABLE BY BIRTH”

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
