NEVER FORGOTTEN

NEVER FORGOTTEN Isaiah 49:13-23  Devotional:- “Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you” (V. 15) NKJV Delays in some situations of life could sometimes make one feel forgotten. This could make anyone feel neglected and hated. Have you ever been in a situation where everyone was served but you alone were forgotten? This could bring a big embarrassment. But God cannot make such a mistake. Before He began serving, you were the one in His mind. His mind is filled with the memory of your love.  The scripture we read today says, even if a mother forgets to nurse her child, which I think is impossible, God said He cannot forget you. If a woman, for example, is far away from a child which has not been weaned, two of them will not find it easy. The baby will soon be crying, and the mother’s breast will soon be heavy and painful. Friend, God can never forget you. That is why He said He ...

FATHER OF LIGHT

FATHER OF LIGHT

1 John 1:1-10
Devotional:- “This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.” (V. 5) NKJV

Our God is referred to as the God of light. He dwells in great light (1 Timothy 6:16). He is referred to as the father of light (James 1:17). He is the creator of light. In this light is the strength and the life of men (John 1:4).

When the Bible referred to God as light it interprets quite some things of benefit to us. It means God is the master over darkness. Darkness here could stand for the devil, evil or wickedness. The Bible says the light shines in the darkness and the darkness cannot comprehend it (John 1:5). In other words wherever God is, the devil, evil or wickedness cannot prosper there. When we dwell in God and He in us, the evil and the wicked forces of this world cannot overpower us. God dwells in you when you ask Him to come into your heart and when you are baptized in the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 3:16).

Light also means understanding and brightness of the mind. From God comes understanding (Job 32:8). Every man is only strong or successful at the level of his understanding. It is the correct assimilation of knowledge that produces wise action. Light also means discretion for direction. The more you humbly relate with God the more your understanding will be. God gives understanding both for wisdom and discretion through His word (Psalm 119:115, 130). When you keep relating with God, the light of discretion will increase in your life. Why others are stumbling you will keep running and keep advancing. Stop walking in darkness. Whenever you are walking in sin, you are walking in darkness. Sin will make you a victim of darkness (1 John 3:8). Flee from sin (1 Timothy 6:11). Hate anything of darkness, they are unfruitful (Ephesians 5:11)., And God of light will make you succeed.

Prayer: Lord, shine forth your light over my life and destiny.
