  GOOD SHEPHERD John 10:11-16  Devotional:- "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gave his life for the sheep”. (V. 11) Shepherds are one of the most caring people on earth. They value the lives of the sheep. They risk their life many times to save the life of the sheep. They follow the sheep wherever they go and lead them To green grass where they enjoy fresh food for their nourishment (Psalms 23:1-6). Their presence comforts and secures the sheep. They cannot tolerate the loss of any of them. So they watch over it so dearly. If anyone is missing, they take pains to look for it till they find it, and when it is found, they celebrate it (Luke 15:4-7). So also is the love of Jesus to you. He is your good shepherd. That is why He laid down His life for you. He died that you might live. He cares for you (I Peter 5:7). He cannot afford to see you in suffering. Psalm 139:1-12
Devotional:- “If l ascend into heaven, you are there; if I make my bed in shoel (the place of the dead), behold, you are there” (V. 8) AMPL

    God the creator of the ends of the earth fills everywhere. He is everywhere and there is nothing hidden from Him. He can see all things. His sight is stronger than all microscopic equipment and this is because He is everywhere.

The scripture we read today showed us God as someone you can’t hide from because He is everywhere. God’s word teaches us that God is a Spirit (John 4:24). And He is not limited to a place or space. He is in heaven and He is at the same time on the earth, God fills all things. There is nothing that can be hidden from Him. He sees all in the rock and the sea. He can count the volume of the sand and the particles of the rock. We are yet to have a machine that can count the sand at the sea shore but God knows the number. Whether it is night or day, it is the same to God.

That is why your enemy can not hide from Him. It is the reason why you cannot be consumed. If they meet against you in the rock or sea, He is there to scatter their plans (Isaiah 54:15). Call upon Him anywhere you may be or find yourself. He will always hear you and help you. His hand is not short to reach you where you are to give you an answer to your prayers. He is a great God.

Prayer: Lord, let your presence always be with me and my family.

The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
