DARLING OF GOD

DARLING OF GOD I John 4:11-21 Devotional:- “If someone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?” (V. 20) NKJV God has some darlings He loves in the world, and they also love Him. They seek Him, and He seeks them. They long for Him, and He longs for them. You will know such people by the way they relate to others. Today, most people think the measure for their love for God is by the number of chapters of the Bible they read daily, the number of hours and times they pray daily, the numerous assignments they do in the church or the number of posts they occupy in the church. All of these are good things to do for the Lord, but it is not a true measurement of our love for God. Most of these are what make us grow in Christ, but the fundamental measurement of our love for God is how much we love others (1 Corinthians 13:1-2). All other spiritual activities must be bo...

OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS

OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS

Devotional:- “In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell safely; now this is His name by which He will be called: THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS” (V. 6)

This generation has enjoyed the best of God so far. But God still has so much of his mercy to bestow on us. This made Him become our righteousness. The righteous is the one who can enjoy the best from God. The righteous is the one who has a right standing with God. They are the ones who in God’s presence are qualified. The truth is that you can hardly find a man who will be qualified by all standards before the Lord. That is why God Himself has become our righteousness. You only cannot continue in sin and still have the righteousness of God (Romans 6:1).

He has given us His righteousness through the Lord Jesus Christ. This is called imputed righteousness (Romans 4:6). The moment a man believes in the Lord Jesus Christ; he has this righteousness. This is not by our making but by the mercy of God (Romans 4:7-8). It is paid for by the death and the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Friend, this is the reason why you should not allow the enemy to put you at any corner of condemnation (Romans 8:1). As a child of God, you should not live a life of sin. If not, you will lose this grace (Romans 6: 1). To enjoy the grace to stop sinning, know that God is a just God who will punish everyone who lives in sin. If Christ was punished for your sin, then you cannot keep sinning, else you will be punished. But if you sin, confess them to God and repent of them and you will be forgiven (1 John 1:7-9). And that is all. Never live your life under the torment of condemnation. Don’t listen to the lies of the devil. You can now freely pray and God will answer. You can freely worship God and you will be acceptable. God by His righteousness has covered your sin with the blood of Jesus. The enemy has no right over your life. God has become your righteousness.

Prayer: Lord, help me to always enjoy the confidence of your righteousness.

“WHEN GOD BECOMES YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS, YOU CAN NO MORE ABIDE IN SIN”
