ASK

ASK Matthew 7:7-12  Devotional:- “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” (V.11) NKJV For us to be able to enjoy the love of God as believers, we must begin to ask God for our needs. It is the principle of God that you will only have what you ask (Matthew 7:7). If you don’t speak out to ask, you may not be given. This was the problem of the senior brother of the prodigal son (Luke 15:29-32). Everything is for Him, but he had never asked for any. But the younger brother knew how to ask You must also learn how to ask. This is because you will only enjoy what you asked for. We therefore need to learn how to ask. The word ‘ask’ is not the same as beg or loan. The word asks suggests confidence and courage. It means to demand for what you are due for. It means to ask for your rights and your entitlements in God (Galatians 3:13-14). The bible is a book of covenant ...

OUR REFUGE

OUR REFUGE

Devotional:- “God is our refuge and strength [mighty, and Impenetrable to temptation] a very present and well-proved help in trouble”. (V. 1) AMPL

God’s word refers to God as our refuge and strength. The experience in the world today is that no place is safe. The aircraft has been proven to be one of the safest means of transportation for years. But now experiences have proved that no particular means of transportation is safe. But for God’s children, God is our refuge.

Refuge simply means “a place of safety”. That is why the book of Proverbs refers to God’s name as a strong tower, righteousness can always run into it and be safe (Proverbs 18:10). God is our stronghold. The scripture we read today says, it is the reason why we will not be afraid. Even if the earth is removed and mountains are quaking. When we hide in the name of the Lord, we are safe.

Friend, no matter what may be happening anywhere you must always remember that God is your hiding place (Psalm 119:114). He is your refuge. The way to always enter into your refuge in God is to learn to call upon the name of Jesus. He is the door to your refuge (John 14:6). Call Him in the car, aircraft, and ship, in the house, even in your dream, in your office or school, and anywhere. Then you are right in your refuge. The reason why fire could not burn the three Hebrews in Daniel 3 is because they were in God in the fire (Colossians 3:3). So, there is no such fire that will burn your refuge. When you are in Him, you are safe.

Prayer: Jesus, put my life and family into your name forever.

“WHEN YOUR REFUGE IS THE STRONGEST YOU ARE THE SAFEST”
