Image
PROTECT YOUR HEART  Proverbs 4:20-27 Devotional:- “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life” (V. 23) NLT      Everyone is born with a strength capable of rising to greatness. In every growing child is a seed of greatness. It is this strength that makes the youth so creative and energetic. That is why each young person looks at the future with great hope. The enemy tries to destroy this strength. As strong as many started in life, not many could strike the chord of success because their strength was destroyed.

Image
LONG LIFE  Scripture Reading: Psalms 91:1-16 Devotional:- “With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation." (V. 16) NKJV      Living long is determined by God. He is the one that has the control of life and death. So, He gives it to each one as He wishes. He made all men for a purpose. The fulfillment of a purpose is a determining factor for existence in this word (John 19:30; 2 Timothy 4:6-8). Yet, the word of God gives us a covenant of long life.

Image
DIVINE DIRECTION                                     Scripture Reading: Proverbs 3:1-8 Devotional:- “In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths” (V. 6) NKJV      If a man want God to direct his ways, then there are covenant responsibility attach to it. Most people complain that God is not speaking to them. They complain they cannot hear God. But most people do not know that it is questions that provoke answers.

Image
MANIFESTATION OF HIS POWER Scripture Reading: Ecclesiastics 8:1-8 Devotional:- “Where the word of a king is, there is power; And who may say to him, "What are you doing?"” (V. 4) NKJV      Everyone love to see manifestation of the power of God through them. That is, all men want to handle the power of God. Many Christians get discouraged when they decree in the name of Jesus and they don’t get result. This is because people want to operate in a God they do not know a His ways (Act 19:13-16). Please know that the ways of God are not like the ways of men (Isaiah 55:8-10).

Image
FAVOUR Scripture Reading: Psalms 5:1-12 Devotional:-  “For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield” (V. 12)  NKJV      Everyone loves to be favored. And favour is a great virtue that makes life beautiful. To be favored is to be given preferences. It is to be given honour or to be considered where one is not qualified. It is an Act of kindness given to someone that does not deserve it.

Image
HELP Scripture Reading: Hebrews 4:11-16 Devotional:- “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (V. 16) NKJV      Everyone on earth need help. But there are different cases and types of situations of people that needs help. Some are so weak and they need strength; some have missed their season and need help of restoration. Some have lost a great opportunity. Some did not have understanding of what to do when the opportunity is at hand. Others don’t have anyone to assist them, some other destinies have been tampered with by the wickedness of the world.

Image
ANSWERED PRAYER Scripture Reading: 1 John 5:14-17 Devotional:- “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us” (V. 14) NKJV      Everyone wants answers to prayers. The beauty of following or serving the Lord is that He gives answers to prayers. That is why you and I should know what it takes to receive answers to our prayers.

PEACE

Image
PEACE Scripture Reading: Numbers 25:6-15 Devotional:- “Therefore say, 'Behold, I give to him My covenant of peace” (V. 12) NKJV      Peace as a virtue is becoming scarce all over the world. This is because men are deceived away from the will of God. As long as people do what they like, peace will be scarce. Peace is an experience of the Spirit of God been in an agreement with our ways. It is like a round object put into a round hole.

JOY

Image
JOY Scripture Reading: Psalms 16:1-11 Devotional:- “You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore” (V. 11) NKJV      Please understand that joy is different from happiness. Joy comes from God and happiness are temporary excitement produced by events or occasion. If you want to live with joy in your heart and in your home. Then, you need to locate the covenant of God for joy.

Image
STRENGTH Scripture Reading: Isaiah 40:21-31 Devotional:- “But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint”” (V. 31) NKJV      It is important that you know strength come through your spirit. As muscular a man could be, when the spirit is out of him, he will lie down helpless. Strength is not just mental; it is only processed by the mind. That is why a man could be very intelligent but frustrated and helpless. It is the spirit that gives man strength, the mind processes it by thinking in the intellect decide by the will and carries it out through the emotional drive of the body. So, whenever you feel weak or you really cannot find enough strength to rise to action, the covenant responsibility is to wait on the Lord.

Image
PROSPERITY Scripture Reading: Psalms 1:1-6 Devotional:-  “He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper” (V. 3) NKJV             The faithfulness of God makes His covenant to be predictable. God remains faithful forever (Deuteronomy 7:8). His covenant of prosperity stand sure. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. His prosperity covenant favored those who will walk in His covenant.

Image
GODLY CHILDREN Scripture Reading: Proverbs 22:1-8 Devotional:- “Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it” (V. 6) NKJV      Everyone desires godly children. It is lack of godly children that is making the world more terrible today. The more our educational system becomes developed, the more terrible generation we are producing. Our education produces academic professionals but does not build the right spirit in man.

PEACEFUL HOME

Image
PEACEFUL HOME Scripture Reading: Exodus 1:10-22 Devotional:- “And so it was, because the midwives feared God, that He provided households for them” (V. 21) NKJV      Good home is a gift from God. Human wisdom may not be able to deliver it. A peaceful home is a joy of all the living. As the world is turning wicked, good home is becoming scarce. But the word of God gave us the covenant that gives access to have a good home.

Image
DIVINE PROVISION Scripture Reading: 2 Corinthians 9:6-15 Devotional:- “But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully” (V. 6) NKJV      The covenant of divine provision in the kingdom of God is connected to sowing and reaping. This may not be the same with the way of the world. Of course; we are not discussing the way of the world here. But rather, this is the kingdom of God (Galatians 6:7).

DIVINE SECURITY

Image
DIVINE SECURITY Scripture Reading: Psalms 34:1-7 Devotional:- “The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them” (V. 7) NKJV      Our security in this wicked world is so important. When there is no security, even food will not be so important. This is because it is he that is alive that can eat and live in a house. That is why people say, security first. So, we need to think of divine security for us and our family. When God is watching us, no one will be able to touch us.

HEALING AND HEALTH

Image
HEALING AND HEALTH Scripture Reading: Exodus 23:20-33 Devotional:- "So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you” (V. 25) NKJV      One of the basic needs of man on earth is healing and health. No matter what a man has, lack of health can make all things become useless. That makes health very important to us. If we will therefore stand to claim our healing and health, we must understand what qualifies us for it.

PRICE FOR VALUE

Image
PRICE FOR VALUE Scripture Reading: Genesis 22:6-18 Devotional:- “And He said,"Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me."” (V. 12) NKJV        Everyone who wants to gain value in this world knows that there is always a price to be paid. In value, it is how much you are willing to put in it that you get out of it. God want man to keep His covenant so that we can value His blessings and goodness.

IMPARTIAL

Image
IMPARTIAL  Scripture Reading: 1Samuel 2:22-30 Devotional:- “Therefore the Lord God of Israel says:'I said indeed that your house and the house of your father would walk before Me forever.' But now the Lord says:'Far be it from Me; for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed” (V. 30) NKJV      The God who made the universe and all that is in it cannot be partial. People become partial because they need to favour someone, so that the person can in turn favour them. He does not need to be partial because He has nothing to lose. We really do not have anything that God will be looking for. So, He is not a partial God (Acts 10:34-35).

PROOF OF FAITHFULNESS

Image
PROOF OF FAITHFULNESS Scripture Reading: Psalm 89:1-10 Devotional:- “Your seed I will establish forever, And build up your throne to all generations.'" (V 4) NKJV      The covenant of God stands sure and this is what forms the basis of his faithfulness to man. We can therefore measure the faithfulness of God by how He has kept to His promises. That is why we can see that from generation to generation, God has been faithful to His covenant with the children of men.

YOUR STRENGTH

Image
YOUR STRENGTH Scripture Reading: Daniel 11:29-39 Devotional:- “Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits” (V. 32) NKJV Every child of God needs to know that their covenant walk with God determines their strength with God. We are strong spiritually because God is behind us (Romans 8:31). None of us can stand the resistance of life without Him (John 15:5) This is the reason some people in the church cannot overcome the forces against them, because God is a God of covenant.

BASIS FOR JUDGEMENT

Image
BASIS FOR JUDGEMENT Scripture Reading: 2 Corinthians 5:1-11 Devotional:- “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad” (V. 10) NKJV      It is important that all children of God knows that there is a judgment day. All covenant defaulters shall be judged. That is why you and I cannot play away with the covenant of God. For us in the New Testament, the grace of God is at work in us, but not in disobedience (Romans 6:1-2). God want us to obey Him out of a heart of love (John 14:15). But the disobedience will be judged (Isaiah 1:19-20).

YOUR CLAIM

Image
YOUR CLAIM Scripture Reading: Isaiah 1:16-20 Devotional:- "Come now, and let us reason together," Says the Lord, "Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool” (V. 18) NKJV      All God’s children have the right to the covenant provision of God (Galatians 3:13-14). The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ has purchased for us a right in God. God’s covenant is therefore for our claim as the prodigal son demanded for his portion.

QUALITY RELATIONSHIP

Image
QUALITY RELATIONSHIP    Scripture Reading: Isaiah 41:7-20 Devotional:- "But you, Israel, are My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, The descendants of Abraham My friend” (V. 8) NKJV      A major reason God always relate with us as a covenant is because any serious relationship demand policies and principles to make it work out well. So, God set His covenant in place to help us have quality relationship with Him in other that we can work effectively in His will to please Him (Genesis 17:1)

BOOK OF COVENANT

Image
BOOK OF COVENANT Scripture Reading: Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success” (V. 8) NKJV      Bible is the book of the covenant. It is in it all the ways of God’s pattern of relationship with people are written. The way God related with Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, David, Solomon, and the disciples. All of these are written that we may learn the way of God through their lives (1 Corinthians 10:11). This is because God is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Image
BLESSING AND CURSES  Scripture Reading: Deuteronomy 30:11-20 Devotional:- “I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live” (V. 19) NKJV      It is important that you understand the God you are relating with in other to enjoy the best of your God. It should therefore be clear to you that your God is a God of covenant. Covenant is an agreement sealed by blood. It always contains the terms of agreement as a strong relationship. It also contains two-coin side blessings and curses.

GOD’S WAY

Image
GOD’S WAY   Scripture Reading: Isaiah 55: 3-13 Devotional:- "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," says the Lord” (V. 8)      The major task ahead of all children of God is to know the way of God. Only those who know His ways can really enjoy walking with Him. That is why this becomes become the prayer of Apostle Paul (Philippians 3:10). Knowing Him makes us walk with Him without any disappointment.

NOTHING IS FREE

Image
NOTHING IS FREE Scripture Reading: Deuteronomy 28:1-14 Devotional:- "Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth” (V. 1)      You need to know that all the blessings of the word of God are all yours by the blood of the Covenant (Zechariah 9:11). As much as all God’s promises are available to all children of God, please know that they are all attached with condition which is the nature of covenant.

OLD AND NEW

Image
OLD AND NEW Scripture Reading: Hebrews 8:7-13 Devotional:- “For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second.” (V. 7) NKJV      Whenever you open your Bible, you see Old Testament and New Testaments. The word testament is the same as covenants. It is therefore old covenants and new covenants. The old covenant is a shadow for the new. In other word, what God gave us in the new covenant have preparation shadow effect that is made substantial in the New Testament.

BLOOD OF COVENANT

Image
BLOOD OF COVENANT Scripture Reading: Zechariah 9:10-17 Devotional:- "As for you also, Because of the blood of your covenant, I will set your prisoners free from the waterless pit.” (V. 11)      Covenant is stronger than agreement because it is not just seal by human signature. It is seal by blood. Remember that blood contains life (Leviticus 17:11). So, the covenant of God is sealed with blood. In the Old Testament, it used to be the blood of animals but in the New Testament, it is sealed with the blood of Jesus (Hebrews 7:25-28).

AGREEMENT

Image
AGREEMENT Scripture Reading: Amos 3:1-8 Devotional:- “Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?” (V. 3)      A covenant is a term of agreement between two or more parties. When people want to get involved in a relationship with purpose, it is always necessary to have a term of agreement. For example, if two or more people want to be friends, there are either written or non written terms of the relationship.

GOD OF COVENANT

Image
GOD OF COVENANT Scripture Reading: Deuteronomy 7:1-10 "Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments” (V. 9) It is important that you as a believer come to an understanding that your God is a God of covenant. He is not like man and does not do things like people does things (Isaiah 55:8-9). His dealings with us is govern by His covenant. That is why no matter what anybody does as long as it is not according to the covenant of God, God is not committed to respond.
