  HOW REAL SERVANTS ACT Mark 10:35-45 Devotional:- “Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant” (V. 43).   The world defines greatness in terms of power, possessions, prestige and position but God determined your greatness by how many people you serve. This is quite contrary to the world view. Jesus called Himself servant and to be like Him is to be a servant. That is why it is so important to have a servant’s heart. God often test our heart by asking us to serve even outside our shape or area of interest. Your priority area of service should be in your area of shape, but God could demand for your service wherever needed. Looking at how a servant act is important because one could serve in a church for years and not be a real servant. Real servants make themselves available to serve. PRICE OF SERVICE

Mark 10: 35-45
Devotional:- "Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant". (V. 43)

    In the language of the world, no one ready wants to be called a servant. It sounds like slavery or a low ranked staff. So the world does not really appreciate the office of a servant. The truth is that no one can succeed without service. It is the act of blessing someone with the gifts, talents and Grace God has given to you. It is willingness to affect others with your life.

Jesus says who ever want to be great should be ready to be a servant. He says service is the route to leadership (Mark 10:44). Service is humbling yourself to be a solution to other people’s problem. To be a solution means you must be able to draw close to the people to diagnose their situation. It demands that you are able to go all the way searching out to help identify the solution to people’s situation.

In the course of doing all of these you are not only working for people but you are really serving God. This is because you allow God to use you to be a solution. The truth is that you are a servant of whomever that is using you. Make up your mind to carry a servant of God mentality and you shall succeed. Peace!

Prayer- Lord, make me a vessel of solution to others

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
