HOW REAL SERVANTS ACT

HOW REAL SERVANTS ACT Mark 10:35-45 Devotional:- “Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant” (V. 43).   The world defines greatness in terms of power, possessions, prestige and position but God determined your greatness by how many people you serve. This is quite contrary to the world view. Jesus called Himself servant and to be like Him is to be a servant. That is why it is so important to have a servant’s heart. God often test our heart by asking us to serve even outside our shape or area of interest. Your priority area of service should be in your area of shape, but God could demand for your service wherever needed. Looking at how a servant act is important because one could serve in a church for years and not be a real servant. Real servants make themselves available to serve. If you only serve when it is convenient, then you are not a good servant (2 Timothy 2:4). Real servants pay attention to needs, always lo...

FAILURE MENTALITY

FAILURE MENTALITY

Numbers 13:21-33
Devotional:- "Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, "Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it." (V. 31)

We must be very careful not to live with failure mentality. It is true that anyone can fail in one thing or the other but this does not write off our chances of becoming successful. So many people think when they talk sincerely of the level of their weaknesses they will then be approved by God. Some of us think we will be pitied by people and they will help us. If, you turn yourself to beggar no one will take you serious.

God instructed Moses the servant of the Lord to send spy to the land of cannan which he has promised to their father to give them. The spy team have failure mentality. They cannot see the ability of God to help them. They saw their enemy but they cannot see their God who is able to give them victory.

Friend, don’t write off your course. You can develop the ability to succeed by trusting God to help you. Stop thinking or talking failure. You can do all things when Christ give you strength (Philippians 4:13), pick up yourself again. Sit down to meditate on your way to the top. Trust in God again. Stop seeing impossibilities. Start to see God of all possibility. The Israelites were destroyed because of their doubt. You will not be destroyed. You will succeed. Peace!

Prayer: Lord strengthen me to succeed
