MEDIATING Hebrews 8:1-13 Devotional:- “But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises” (V. 6) NKJV In the Old Testament, the human priest used to stand in the gap between God and man. But because they are also human and can also sin, their priesthood was not able to actually deliver the human race. This is the ministry Jesus is carrying out on behalf of the believers since His ascension to heaven.  This ministry was taken over by Jesus because He loves us. Though He is seated on the throne but sitting closely to the Father to advocate for us. A mediator is someone who stands in the gap between the benefactor and the beneficiary. He is the one who pleads our cause to God. He is the one who intercedes for us before the Father. That is why we can be certain of our faith in God through Christ Jesus. Friend, since we know that we have Christ Jesus standing in for us, then our faith ...

PRICE OF FOCUS

PRICE OF FOCUS

Philippians 3:12-16
Devotional:- "Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead." (V. 13)

One of the most potent factors of success is focus. This helps us to concentrate on the major things of life for our success. Many things are always calling for our attention. They will always attempt to distract us from been successful. That is why we have to learn the wisdom of focus. This makes us effective and successful (Matthew 6:22).

The word of God reveals to us one of the secret of the success of Paul the Apostle, He said one thing I do, he focused on his calling. He always put out of mind many things. Someone said, he does not know how to succeed, but he can recommend how to fail, that is satisfying all. Jesus said one thing is needful in life (Luke 10:42).

To be able to have a focused life, we must understand our assignment specifically and get our purpose right. Without clear purpose, people will keep changing direction, jobs, relationship, and church etc. This is because they feel making changes will give them success and settle their confusions (Ephesians 5:12).

Friend, when vision and purpose are defined, then you need to focus on it. This will make you highly effective (Philippians 3:15).  It is said that when sunlight is focused or concentrated with a lenses, it can ignite fire on a paper; scientist says it can cut steel. That is how potent your life will be when you can focus. Peace!

Prayer- Lord, Give me Grace to focus on my assignment to succeed.
