Human, by nature, doesn’t often want to be blamed but always likes to blame others or circumstances of their shortcomings. But I would like you to realise the terrible effect of the blame game in your life.   In the scripture we read today, Adam and Eve were simply playing the blame game. But do you know that it did not deliver them from the judgment of God? Neither will this game deliver...

THINKING THROUGH

THINKING THROUGH

Luke 15:11-24
Devotional:- "I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you". (V. 18)

Thinking is not ordinary; thinking is often ignited by the spirit. When you find yourself thinking repeatedly around an issue, God is simply setting you up for an achievement. Most people see thinking as a burden. They enjoy to always jest and laugh, that is great but not all the time so that you don’t laugh away the strength to succeed.

The prodigal son had made great mistake. He has committed a sacrilege by asking for his inheritance from a living father. God’s word said a will is not effective when the writer is still alive (Hebrews 9:17). But this boy defiled it all. He received his inheritance without vision and experience of financial management. So he came to the end of the road. But though he has lost all things, he didn’t lose his mind. So he engaged his mind and he was restored. People need to know that it is laziness to keep giving excuses. Nothing good will come without a price.

Friend, when you pray ask the Holy Spirit to guide your mind into the counsel of God (Psalm 23:1-3). Let the Lord help you to understand your way to restoration. As you engage Him in mental responsibility, He will start to guide you. He will lead you and surprise you with heavenly ideas. Things you never thought of will come to mind. This is the beauty of waiting, in separation to the Lord (Isaiah 40:31). You will arise and succeed in Jesus name. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, help me to be mentally responsible.
