LIFTING

LIFTING Psalms 75:1-10 Devotional:- “But God is the judge. He putteth down one and setteth up another.” (V. 7) KJV It is part of God’s act of love to lift up his own people. If you have a privilege be in an office, there is every tendency that you will want use your office to help and lift the people you love, so also is God. He is highly exalted. He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. He is the creator of heaven and earth. The bible calls Him the judge, in other word, He rules and decides the case of everyone in heaven and earth. So he is willing to lift you up as the one He loves. In the sovereignty of God, I have seen God demonstrating His love by lifting the unworthy. People like Joseph, David, Solomon, Paul the apostle and a host of others. If you as a child of God enjoy a status now it is part of His good gesture to you. And whatever level you are now, do not be discouraged, for He is still taking you higher. He took Joseph from the prison to the palace (Genesis 41:...

IMPUTED RIGHTEOUSNESS

IMPUTED RIGHTEOUSNESS

Scripture Reading: Romans 4:1-8
Devotional:- “Just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works:” (V.6)

All believers need to understand that our walk in the righteousness of God is in two dimensions. The fundamental truth is that righteousness is of God. No man can be righteous before Him (Isaiah 64:6; Psalm 143:2) Jesus came to shed His blood to purchase the righteousness of God for us (Romans 5:17-20)

This righteousness of God is given to us through the death and resurrection of Jesus. He took our place by dying for us and now we live in the sight of God wearing the righteousness of God. This righteousness is imputed on us as a garment as we give our life to Jesus by faith in the work of the Cross (Romans 13:21-22; 10:10)

All kingdom citizens must always put on this righteousness by faith. It is a spiritual cloth over our soul and not the white garment some wear to church and put off another time. We must put it on always by faith (Galatians 3:27). When God look at you, He sees His nature and His righteousness in you. It is your dress code for your security here, to access God’s goodness and to access heaven (Isaiah 3:10; Rev.19:8)

PRAYER: Lord, help me to always wear your righteousness by faith in Christ.
