OUR ROCK

OUR ROCK Psalms 18:1-3 Devotional:- Lord is my rock and my fortress and deliverer…” (V.2) One of the love emblems to us is that He is our rock. He is known as the rock of ages. Because He loves us, He is always there for us. Rock is a symbol of strength and confidence. The cleft of the rock is always a beautiful place of refuge. Water from the rock is always pure and cool. As part of His love for us, He has become our rock (I Corinthians 10:4). He is the rock of our salvation, of our peace and protection. The bird eagle lives on the rock above the reach of the enemy. The water on it is refreshing and clean, far above the reach of the dust. The cave of the rock is always very cool and secure, far above the reach of either the arrow of the enemy or the scourging of the sun. This is who Jesus is for us. We may pass through challenges in this world, but we are sure of our victory because the rock is always there for us. He is our trust. He is our stronghold. He will never reject nor ...

GROWING THE NATURE OF GOD.

GROWING THE NATURE OF GOD.

Romans 8:5-13
Devotional:- “For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live” (V. 13)

It should be clear to all believers in Christ that what is not growing is dying. Just as righteousness is the nature of God, if anyone is not growing the nature of God such will be unconsciously growing the carnal nature (Romans 8:5-8). That is why the Bible says to be carnally minded is dead. This death is not extinguishing but separation from God. Death in the Hebrew language means separation. It is therefore the responsibility of each Christian to grow the nature of God in their life.

To be able to grow the nature of God in us demands three things. It demands that we daily fellowship with God in studying His word, in worship and prayers. It demands that we keep mortifying i.e. put to death the carnal nature in us. Thirdly, it demands that we put on the mindset of the nature of God (Romans 8:4-6).

Friends, to have the mindset of righteousness demands that we daily fellowship with God (Genesis 17:1). If anyone one does not create time daily to fellowship with Jesus, he/she cannot be a Christian (Matthew 7:21). The reason there are wicked people in Church today who will not forgive nor love, haters and slanderers, is that many are not committed to growing the nature of God (Jeremiah 5:26). If you will reign with Christ in eternity, wake up. It is the nature of God in you that makes you a child of God and not title. Peace

PRAYER: Lord, help me to start to grow your nature in me

“UNTIL YOU HAVE THE NATURE OF GOD YOU CAN NOT BEHAVE LIKE GOD”
