  TIME OF CELEBRATION  2 Samuel 6:11-23 Devotional:- “Then David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was wearing a linen ephod” (V. 14) NKJV As much as this season is tagged with much celebration, the enemy often tries to see how he could poison the joy of many people to remove them from the list of people who will celebrate. It will be wisdom for you to know that happiness and sorrow are a choice. I will advise you to choose to rejoice in hope and leave sorrow for the enemy (Romans 5:22). In the scripture we read today, David and all the people were in a mood of celebration because of the advent of the ark of the Lord. But a lady could not see what was worth celebrating, and she took offence at David’s elegant celebration. And she remains barren till her death. Friend, if the coming of the ark of the Lord is sufficient to lose celebration, how much more the coming of Christ, the Son of God. Don’t let the devil push you to sorrow corner in a time like this. CHOOSING RIGHTEOUSNESS

Scripture Reading: Daniel 1:1-9
Devotional:- “But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the chief of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.” (V8)

    As a child of God, you will need the grace of God to always choose the path of righteousness. The system and pattern of the world make it difficult to be able to choose to obey God in every situation. But because we must not miss out on God, we therefore need to know what will help us in our choices.

Looking at the factors that help Daniel and his friends to choose not to defile themselves in Babylon, the first is the fact that they have given themselves to studying and meditating in the word of God. (Daniel 9:2; Joshua 1:8). It is what you give yourself to study that you will meditate on. It is what you meditate on that you find yourself acting on. The second factor is their determination to remain in the path of righteousness. The Holy Spirit will be willing to help you when He sees the desires of your heart for God The third factor is the fellowship or the company you keep (Psalm 1:1). They were all Hebrew in the palace and keep their fellowship together. Many believers today make the fellowship with the children of God to be secondary in their lives. We need to watch this. 

Friend, your church fellowship is the place of your strength (Psalm 84:7). Any of us can be busy but you will not be busy that you will not eat for a week, if it is not dry fasting. Watch out not to allow gap between you and God. Then you will be able to keep choosing the path and of righteousness. Peace

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.
