  JOY IN PRAYERS I Samuel 2:1-10 Devotional:- “And Hannah prayed and said: "My heart rejoices in the LORD; My horn is exalted in the LORD. I smile at my enemies, Because I rejoice in Your salvation.” (V. 1) NKJV We often fall into depression when we look around us, and all we see are unanswered prayers. It becomes worse when you are despised and mocked for that thing that you are looking up to God for. Hannah was like that, a depressed and unhappy woman. What was Hannah’s secret that made her proclaim to all that “my heart rejoices in the Lord”? 1. She decided to look away from her oppressor 2. She went to God in prayer, pouring her sorrow to God.  3. She made a vow to give God the child 4. She left the presence of God, believing God answers prayer. Hannah made good her vow, and her joy was full. Are you depressed? Pour your heart to God, make a vow to him, and you will see him answer your prayers and your joy will Come. CHOOSING RIGHTEOUSNESS

Scripture Reading: Daniel 1:1-9
Devotional:- “But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the chief of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.” (V8)

    As a child of God, you will need the grace of God to always choose the path of righteousness. The system and pattern of the world make it difficult to be able to choose to obey God in every situation. But because we must not miss out on God, we therefore need to know what will help us in our choices.

Looking at the factors that help Daniel and his friends to choose not to defile themselves in Babylon, the first is the fact that they have given themselves to studying and meditating in the word of God. (Daniel 9:2; Joshua 1:8). It is what you give yourself to study that you will meditate on. It is what you meditate on that you find yourself acting on. The second factor is their determination to remain in the path of righteousness. The Holy Spirit will be willing to help you when He sees the desires of your heart for God The third factor is the fellowship or the company you keep (Psalm 1:1). They were all Hebrew in the palace and keep their fellowship together. Many believers today make the fellowship with the children of God to be secondary in their lives. We need to watch this. 

Friend, your church fellowship is the place of your strength (Psalm 84:7). Any of us can be busy but you will not be busy that you will not eat for a week, if it is not dry fasting. Watch out not to allow gap between you and God. Then you will be able to keep choosing the path and of righteousness. Peace

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.
