  PROMISES Isaiah 55:1-13  Devotional:- “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it” (V.11) NKJV One thing that is common with lovers are promises. It is part of what a true lover will want to hear. To a true lover, a promise is like a cheque capable of turning into cash. So when people who love us promise us, we cherish the promises. And when we remember them, it gladdens our heart. We even sometime feel happy enough to share it with other friends. One other terrible thing that is common with people is failing to fulfill promises. That is why it will be unwise to marry someone based on mare promises. These failure in promises of people, in some cases, are due to the inadequacy of human strength, or unforeseen circumstances that can overtake the promises, so the promised often feel deceived. RIGHTNESS & RIGHTEOUSNESS

Scripture Reading: Colossians 2:11-23
Devotional:- “These things indeed have an appearance of wisdom in self-imposed religion, false humility, and neglect of the body, but are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh” (V 23)

    It is important you know that something may look right but it is not equal to righteousness. Someone may be so nice but as long as he does accept the righteousness of God though Christ, he cannot be righteous. The word of God says all our righteousness is like filthy rag before God. (Isaiah 64:6). 

The righteousness of God is when a man has right standing with God. He has made a provision for man to find Him through His son Jesus. That is why those who reject Jesus cannot by moral standard be righteous before God (John 3:17-18). This is important that you and I must know that we have to keep ministering the gospel to every unbeliever around us.

To have a right standing with God, everyone must accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour. That is the standard of God for righteousness. It is not by buying something for the church that you gain righteousness. Of course, whenever we do that for the Lord, He will reward us. But beyond reward is our soul been acceptable before Him. Jesus is not a founder of a religion. He is the way to the father (John14:6). In other word He is the one that connects us to the father and we must remain connected by our continuous relationship with God to grow in the nature of God. If the gospel is not ministered to the house of Cornelius, his alms will be rewarded but his soul will not be SAVED (Act 10:3-6). Check your ways with God. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, keep me save in Christ Jesus.

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
