SUCCESS YOUR PURPOSE 2 Timothy 4:1-8 Devotional:- “And now the prize awaits me-the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing” (V. 8) NLT When a person turns to the Lord, invite Jesus to his/her life, and surrender to Jesus as Lord and saviour, then he/she sincerely becomes a Christian. This is the state many in the church has not attained. Many struggle to surrender their lives to the Lord because they are afraid of failure, not able to trust God to give them success, and their love for the things of this world (1 John 2:15-17). When you sincerely surrender your life to Jesus Christ, your view of success cannot but change. Apostle Paul said, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful” (2 Timothy 4:7). RIGHTNESS & RIGHTEOUSNESS

Scripture Reading: Colossians 2:11-23
Devotional:- “These things indeed have an appearance of wisdom in self-imposed religion, false humility, and neglect of the body, but are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh” (V 23)

    It is important you know that something may look right but it is not equal to righteousness. Someone may be so nice but as long as he does accept the righteousness of God though Christ, he cannot be righteous. The word of God says all our righteousness is like filthy rag before God. (Isaiah 64:6). 

The righteousness of God is when a man has right standing with God. He has made a provision for man to find Him through His son Jesus. That is why those who reject Jesus cannot by moral standard be righteous before God (John 3:17-18). This is important that you and I must know that we have to keep ministering the gospel to every unbeliever around us.

To have a right standing with God, everyone must accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour. That is the standard of God for righteousness. It is not by buying something for the church that you gain righteousness. Of course, whenever we do that for the Lord, He will reward us. But beyond reward is our soul been acceptable before Him. Jesus is not a founder of a religion. He is the way to the father (John14:6). In other word He is the one that connects us to the father and we must remain connected by our continuous relationship with God to grow in the nature of God. If the gospel is not ministered to the house of Cornelius, his alms will be rewarded but his soul will not be SAVED (Act 10:3-6). Check your ways with God. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, keep me save in Christ Jesus.

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
