OUR REDEEMER Colossians 2:9-18  Devotional:- “In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.”(V. 14) No life living under the power of curses can by any means prosper. This is because curses have the power to destroy the strength to prosper. When it is said that a man is cursed, it means a word was spoken to him, and this word follows him to pull him down wherever he goes. You need to know that the Word often became flesh to follow people (John 1:14). So it often stands as a spirit assigned to follow men about. So when a man is cursed, it is under a monitoring spirit that destroys his help, favour and success. But we have this great love of God demonstrated to us in Christ Jesus. Jesus came to redeem us from the curses ofthe law. In other words, He has come to set us free from the slavery of sin and Satan. To redeem means to set free or buy back from the slave market. He paid the price tag placed on us and bought us back from the slave market of the e...

EMBLEM OF TRUE SONS

EMBLEM OF TRUE SONS

Scripture Reading: 1 John 3:4-10
Devotional:- “In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother” (V 10)

It is important that every believer understand that for someone to have the nature of man, he must born of man. But for anyone to have the nature of God, they must be born of God. So, at salvation, the nature of God is giving to us. But it is the responsibility of each one to effectively keep their garment clean by practicing righteousness (Revelation 16:15).

To practice righteousness is to keep growing the nature of God in us and obeying the word of God. This demands our commitments to daily fellowship with God in studying His word and prayers. By this we will enjoy grace to do whatever God instruct us to do. Without the commitment, so many things will be used by the devil to attempt to dirty our garment of righteousness (John 15:4-7). Practicing righteousness is life of obedience to God (Matthew 7:21-23).

Friend, the word of God says “those who do not practice righteousness are not children of God”. This makes the issue of righteousness to be fundamental to all children of God. It exempts you from the evil agenda of the devil (Proverbs 11:8). It qualifies you for the blessings of the Lord because you align yourself with Him (Psalm 5:12). It makes you different and peculiar in this world of wickedness. Practicing righteousness is living in submission to obey the word of God. Only the righteous are truly children of God (Matthew 7:20-23). Peace

PRAYER: Lord, make me a continuous practitioner of your righteousness.
