  OTHER gods Psalm 16:1-11 Devotional:- “Their sorrows shall be multiplied who hasten after another god; Their drink offerings of blood I will not offer, Nor take up their names on my lips.” (v.4) NKJV When people are caged in the spirit of idolatry. It will take God to deliver them. This spirit enslaves them in an endless journey of sorrow. They keep moving on in their wicked and painful sacrifices till they enter into their pit of regrets. This is because wickedness makes people seek the devil for a solution. It is either that they want spiritual aid for promotion, money, or power that they are not entitled to. Since they think that God’s way seems to be slow, they then turn to the devil for faster ways and evil results that look temporarily good. Sons of men need to know that the evil of “get it quick at all costs” is foolishness. RIGHT CHOICES

Scripture Reading: Proverbs 12: 19-28
Devotional:- “The righteous should choose his friends carefully, For the way of the wicked leads them astray” (V26)

    One of the blessings of righteousness is that it helps to make the right choices. Making of choices in life is a major and a critical need of life. But the Bible says “the steps of the upright are ordered by the Lord (Psalms 37:23-24). Though a righteous man may fall, but he will not be totally cast down. He will keep rising up (Proverbs 24:16).

When a man makes a choice to live in righteousness, his choice ability becomes stronger. This is because the choice to live in the righteousness of God makes us different to some people who don't want to go through the same route (2 Corinthians 6:14-18). There are places you can no longer find him. There are practices he can no longer be involved. There are cloth, businesses etc. you can no longer find with him. (Psalm 1:1-2, Daniel 3:16-18)

Friend, make up your mind to live in the righteousness of God. This will make your choices focus on the will of God. Your life will be definite. Your decisions will be predictable to all. They know what you will take and what you will not. This is when you can truly be called a child of God. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to choose the path of righteousness.

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
