  GOOD REPORT   Proverbs 15:28-33 Devotional:- “The light of the eyes rejoices the heart, And a good report makes the bones healthy” (v.30) NKJV Today, in the whole world, the only kind of news celebrated by men is bad news. The reporters have also realised that people want bad news. So, they hardly report good things. If you listen to the news, read from the media or browse through the net, it is all about evil things happening all over the world. This is the trick of the enemy to cage the sons of men into sorrow and break the flow of joy in the lives of the people. The scripture we read today says, “good report makes the heart glad”. You must recognise the principle of a joyful life. It is a product of regular joyful reports (Proverbs 25:25). It is what you love to hear that your life will look like (Mark 4:24). you must know you are a product of what you are hearing. FORMED FOR GODS FAMILY

HEBREWS 2:5-18
Devotional – “For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings” (v.10)


    The second major purpose of your creation is that you are formed for Gods family [1 John 3:1] God wants a family and he wanted you to be a part of it. The entire bible is full of the story of God building a family that will love him, honor and reign with him forever [Ephesians 1:5] NLT. God is love, so he cherish relationship [1 John 4:7-8]. The nature of God is relational and that is why He identifies himself in fatherly terms; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

When we turn to the Lord and give our lives to Jesus Christ, God becomes or Father we become His children, other believers become our brothers and sisters and the church becomes our spiritual family. Every human is created by God but not everyone is a member of His family. A man or a woman can only become a member of God’s family when they are born again. You become part of human family by your first birth but you become part of God’s family by your second birth [1 Peter 1:3, Galatians 3:26].

Your spiritual family is more important because it is eternal. As soon as you become a member of God’s family you are given great birthday gift; the family name, the family looks, family privilege, family intimate access and the family inheritance [Galatians 4:7, Ephesians 1:18], these are all for you. This world is not eternal but you will be with God forever [2 Thess. 5:10]. You will be changed to be like Christ. We will be free from all pains and death [Rev. 21:4]. We will be rewarded and given new position of service [Mark 9:41]. We shall share in Christ’s glory [Rom. 8:17]. Water baptism is a celebration of your new glorious family and that is why you have to celebrate it. Peace.

PRAYER; Lord, thank you for making me a member of your family

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.

COURAGE

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
