MY REFUGE

MY REFUGE Psalms 46:1-7 Devotional:- "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” (V. 1) It is always very easy for men to say God is not good to them when they have a pressing need. But if you observe it carefully, wisdom will let you always appreciate Him. It is not every one that began this year that is still alive now. Many were faced with challenges greater than themselves and were swallowed up. If you listen to the reasons for their falls, they are not too great. The truth is that you also have passed through challenges greater than theirs, but God was your refuge. Anytime you run to Him, you will find a hiding place in Him. Even when it looks like the situation wants to swallow you, you still find strength for help in God. Do you know that you have been enjoying His refuge not because you are better but because He loves you? No matter what happens, do not be afraid, your lover is your refuge. NOT AN ACCIDENT

NOT AN ACCIDENT

Isaiah 44:1-5
Devotional - “Thus says the LORD who made you And formed you from the womb, who will help you: 'Fear not, O Jacob My servant; And you, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen” (V. 2)

In discovering the purpose of your creation, it is important that you know that you did not evolve accidentally. You are a product of the conscious plan of God. The word of God says before we were formed in our mother’s womb, He knew us.  This means, before you were in the womb of your parent you were first in the womb of the mind of God [Jeremiah1:5]

God prescribe every single detail about your life before you were made. You colour, skin, hair or your race. He determines your skills, your uniqueness or your natural talents [Psalm 139:15]. Your parent may not have planned your birth but God did. He chose your mother and your father to form the blood group He wants for you. He makes sure that you are raised in the right community and your background. All these things were determined long before you came into this world [Ephesians 1:4]. That is why hating your country is not right.

That is why you are so important to God and to your world [James 1:18]. Without you the world will not be completed. It is only that you need to let God reveal to you what he made you to be through His word. And you will be great in your purpose.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to appreciate my uniqueness in your grace.
